I had one of these folded up in the spare bedroom for a few years. Gave it a good dusting in January, put it in the living room and did 30 mins HIT 3 times a week. Combined with a change in diet the weight fell off, now 1.5 stone lighter since new year

No worries. Looks decent, but ive never been able to stick at these in the house and even folded I haven't really got the space. Always worth a look on gumtree for this kind of thing as loads of people buy, use once, then sell.
Random question. I'm a skinny bloke with a double chin coming on. I am starting to look like buzz lightyear. I cant do sod all to get rid of it. I have started a healthier diet (a couple of healthy meal replacement shakes during the day and cutting junk food) but am stumped on what exercise will get rid off fat in the face. Would it be cardio stuff such as an exercise bike? I am clueless. All I read about online is stupid chin exercises.

Thanks in advance

Move to plants. And do all the fitness stuff.
The pedals look too far forward, how comfortable is this?

I have a similar exercise bike and it is comfortable for my pedal use however I have noted some state they find the bike seat uncomfortable and have replaced with their own bought ones.

You can't spot reduce fat. Everbody stores fat in different places and in different orders and you can't change that. Are you actually 'skinny' or do you have a small frame with some fat?

In terms of exercise, best for fat reduction is strength training, BY FAR. Increased muscle mass increases metabolism and increases the amount of calories you burn at rest. Cardio is important too and is very healthy, however it will only really burn calories whilst you're actually doing it. That's why you see people who are proud they've done 200cals on a treadmill, but have a few extra chips at dinner and a kit kat and it all goes away.

For food, get rid of 'meal replacement shakes'. They're not good for you and only work because you're forced to restrict calories to stick to the 'plan'. You need a varied diet with carbs, proteins, fats, fruit and veg. It needs to be sustainable, you need to make diet changes that will last a lifetime. You're not gonna be chugging meal shakes when you're 80! But, swapping some carbs for protein and veg makes it easier to stick to a lower calorie diet. Its also a good idea to track what you eat and the calories you're eating from proteins, carbs and fat. You don't have to track every gram but a rough record is good to track progress. This way you can try changing to foods you eat and the calories and see what works for you. Its hard at first, but it gets easier.

Good luck. Anybody can do it, but most never bother.

MyFitnessPal in the play store or App Store and be true with your data. Set an achievable goal or you'll soon get disheartened or set a series of smaller goals. I agree with nag_sup, the macro function of myfitnesspal counts the carbs, protein and fat for you. Simple rule is that if calories in exceeds calories out it has to be stored somewhere.

BS!
To anyone considering this bike I honestly wouldn't recommend.

I too saw the many positive reviews and wanted a cheap training bike for my house. However, within 2 month the bike developed two serious failures. one of the rubberised straps on the pedal snapped at the join, which meant that it could no long hold my foot in place at the correct setting. I contacted their german based customer support and they advised that they would send a replacement set of straps. They never did send me those replacement straps.

Then , less than a month later the computer developed a fault where it stopped recording distance and calorie burn, therefore making the entire product useless to train with.

Amazon customer support advised contacting manufacturer who this time did not respond to my emails or calls. Ultimately Amazon ended up giving me a full refund and I put the money towards a more expensive Reebok bike which is still going strong a year later.

If you actually look at the negative reviews you will find many of them are customers like me who had a serious fault well within Warranty. This to me has been a good learning of "buy cheap, buy twice".

Calorie deficit. Eat less and move more. You will feel the difference within a few weeks.

Im in the same boat. I blinked and my neck and chin fused together . You cant target certain areas to lose fat. Just iverall fat burning. Burn more calories than you consume. Eat healthier and train. Ive got the training down just need to be more consistent with my diet. Good luck.

Can you not give a short summary of your knowledge to prove me wrong? I don't quite have the time to read a whole book/website.
