Maybe worth getting it from amazon uk for a fiver more, plus a uk plug, as opposed to an EU one from amazon Germany?

Thanks mate. NFC and full HD for £100. Can't argue with that really 😃
Got an A5 Pro from Umidgi for the wife for £65, would jump on this deal, better battery and NFC.

I got this as a Holiday phone (filled it up with Podcasts, Netflix, Spotify downloads etc) used in conjunction with the 3 all you can eat sim card. Was very impressed with it. The Camera is pretty mundane and only takes good pictures in brightly lit scenarios, and it can stutter slightly if trying to do lots of things at once (mainly when I had a huge download queue). But the battery life on it is superb, I watched it for about 6 hours on the flight back from Barbados and it still had about 38% battery left. It's also nice to see NFC on it. It worked very well indeed in conjunction with the HUAWEI CV60 360 Camera I picked up from Aliexpress. This will be used as the Beach Bag phone from now on leaving my Pixels memory free for photos / Videos etc

Yeah I did think about posting that. But with a fee free card it's a tenner less and you can buy a UK plug for less than that. You'd be saving an extra couple quid and isn't that why we're all here..?

If you can go up slightly in price might be worth looking at the Redmi Note 8T, has NFC, full HD display, 4,000mah battery and similar camera setup up to Mi A3 adds an extra 2MP macro camera. Saw it on here the other day for £140 I think

Yeah companies seem to be releasing new ones every month

This or the Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 or Redmi note 7?

Also, is this significantly better than the Umidigi A5 Pro? I'm on a tight budget
Cheers. Bought 2 for the in-laws.

That's a lot to go through . Personally I would get this as the NFC is important to me. However the best all-rounder there is the Note 7, better processor and camera.

This isn't significantly better than the A5 Pro, the advantages are bigger battery, NFC and slightly better processor.

I would rank them in terms of bang for buck as follows

Note 7 - best overall
Umidigi Power - best battery, NFC
A5 Pro - best all-rounder under £80
Redmi 7 most powerful processor under £90
7A - cheapest, but if you can spend more I would

It has two of the things you want, the camera is there, it's just not great in low light conditions, Unfortunately I can only provide a photo of a Caribbean thunderstorm on a cruise (But the camera makes it look much darker than it was) The Battery is really good, I've just turned it back on and has stayed at 38% after at least 6 hours of watching a Downloaded version of Topboy in 4k via Netflix. That picture quality is amazing.

Where can you get a Redmi 7 for under £80?

Tbf I've seen it for around £90 but not £80. I wouldn't get it though as it doesn't have a gyroscope, which is needed for VR, 360 and some games. A5 Pro does have a gyro.

If you can go up to £130 I'd get the Redmi Note 8T. Very well balanced phone

Not really no. Have you purchased from aliexpress before? Hopefully won't be stung on import tax. They will also have the a5 pro for about £70! Wonders if the quality of components are good from Umidigi... Plus long wait for delivery...

Not Ali no. I've ordered from Gearbest and Geekbuying with no issues. Pay by PayPal if you've got it for extra protection.
Import tax is unlikely but not impossible, it's 20% of the value on the shipping label plus a handling fee of around £10. There is normally a special instruction box where you can ask them to declare a low about say £12 for example to help avoid fees. I think Umidigi are decent and have improved from the past but the Xiaomi will likely be better buy

Think Ali incurs paypal fee if seller allows... looks like only first 100 buyers can use $49 off code =(
What about redmi 8 for £83.59 from eglobalcentraluk.com/xia…tml
Is it really worth the extra cost compared to the 7a?
Always intrigued by these sorts of phones by umidigi, cubot, Elephone etc but aren't a lot of them riddled with viruses and spyware? Doesn't seem like it's worth the risk
