Seems like a beast of device for the price although never owned a UMIDIGI device!

Sorry to say this but cold fir it being on Ali Express. The customer protection exists only in name. Wouldn't buy through them again.

Ulefone T3/T1 with similar spec at £158 from banggood using a credit card would be better deal than this.
Ulefone and UMI are both relatively (not as known as Xiaomi) unknown brands in the UK.

any reviews of the Ulefone?

I've owned two Umi phones, beautiful design, terribly fragile build quality and poor reliability.

Neither lasted as long as an ice lolly on a hot day.

I'm nearly 9 months into a UMIDIGI Plus E and am more than happy with it. Yes the build quality isn't quite as good as a £600 phone, but I payed nowhere near £600 for it.

As I said never used this brand but going by specs and design seemed really decent..

Update... Just had a look at the Elefone specs which seems very similar and cost a lot less!

...terribly fragile build quality...

Did they also have aerospace-class aluminium unibodies, like this one?

But elephone currently have a court case against them or so I've heard for their handsets sending info back to china every 48 hours ! Hmmm 😞 best avoided imho

When I bought my first Huawei Honor and month later Xiaomi redmi note2 mobile in 2014/15, very few people knew the brands. And the mobiles wasn't in any network's offer. And I'm still buying and trying: Cubot, Ulephone, Elephone, Oukitel, Umidigi, etc. You can call it a hobby. Some of them are excellent, some not, but everyone of them was worth the price.

Yes, they did; it was things like the SIM/SD slot mounting that broke internally, a broken gps module - also internal; lousy customer care (6 month turnaround on a phone that arrived broken out of the box).

A beautiful alu case doesnt mean anything if the build quality of the rest of it resembles a 1970's Waltham music centre.
(Waltham, the only brand WORSE than Amstrad at the time).

Even going by your account,
Ulefone and Umidigi are no big players yet..
The same spec phone from ulefone is a third cheaper than this...
So my argument is still valid...

Sorry, can't find Ulefone with 5.5" AMOLED screen. Which model you're talking about?

I never said exact spec.... It's similar spec is what I said....
Even if someone is particular about AMOLED screen, this price is insanely high.....
I love Amoled screens myself.... But wouldn't justify the price, make and this spec..

There was no cheaper amoled mobile phone then 270-300 quid (xiaomi mi, 5.7"). That's why the umidigi was the best price/spec option. Otherwise I wouldn't have paid over £200 for not well known brand.
I've found other option to buy, £211 with 8% quidco cashback. Now waiting for delivery.31666753-U4Bs5.jpg
