Under Siege: When the USS Missouri welcomes aboard entertainers for the battleship's last voyage, the visitors throw a party, a war party. Led by a rogue CIS operative (Tommy Lee Jones) and a turncoat officer (Gary Busey), they're killer-elite commandos out to hijack the ship's nuclear arsenal. They overpower the crew. Except one man. "I'm just a cook", that man says. But he's a cook with a recipe for action. He's ex-Navy SEAL and decorated combat operative Casey Ryback (Seagal).

Under Siege 2: A renegade electronics wiz (Eric Bogosian) has seized the sleek Grand Continental passenger train, transforming it into a rolling command unit for an awesome weapons satellite. But the one passenger who eludes capture is Ryback. The train is now a battleground, the satellite is locked onto its target and an oncoming freight train hauling gasoline is headed toward the Grand Continental. Can Ryback thwart the siege in time? All aboard!

Original Poster

Both films are heavily cut. Here's Gavin Salkeld's lists.

Under Siege - 7s
- In the workshop scene, a close-up shot of Ryback (Seagal) slicing open an enemy’s main artery in his thigh is missing, along with blood gushing from the wound.
- Immediately after this, the close-up shot of Ryback stabbing the same guy in the armpit twice with the full length of his knife blade is cut.
- Following this, the shot of the guy falling down the wall crying with blood gushing from his armpit is missing.
- After Ryback shoves the last bad guy onto the buzzsaw, we fail to completely see Ryback grab him and knee him up onto the rotating saw blade. Some of this is left intact on the DVD but is totally eliminated from the pan-and-scan VHS version.
- Right after this, a shot of the blade cutting through the bad guy’s shoulder, complete with chippings of bone and oozing blood, has been cut.
- In the fight Ryback has with the last man just before the Strannix (Tommy Lee Jones) showdown, there is a small section missing where we see Ryback ripping out the bad guy’s Adam’s Apple.
- In the final fight between Ryback and Strannix, we fail to see the slow-motion shot of blood and chunks of gore coming out of Strannix’ eye socket after Ryback removes his thumb from it.

Under Siege 2 - 2m, 1s
· During the takeover on the train, we fail to see one bad guy push a passenger with long hair against the train wall and pull a concealed knife from the passenger’s clothing. The bad guy then flicks open the knife and says, “What the **** is this, huh? Huh? Huh? Get the **** outta here!”
· In the eye torture sequence, the graphic verbal descriptions of what will happen have been reduced and the prolonged sight of the needled approaching the eyes has been reduced also
· In the scene where the one-eyed mercenary finds the phone has been tampered with, we do not see Ryback snatch a knife from the mercenary’s clothes and slash his wrist. It simply cuts to Ryback suddenly standing there, smacking him with the butt of the knife handle
· When Ryback makes his way to the front of the train, he kicks a bad guy off onto the rails. In the cut UK version, we do not get to see a high shot of the bad guy being dragged along, half-trapped underneath he train and jerking and screaming, before being sucked underneath completely
· In the scene where Ryback is making the bomb, we do not get to see him opening a tub labelled “Conc. Coconut Oil”
· When we cut back to the above scene later, we don’t get to see Ryback squirting lighter fluid into a small cup, nor do we hear Bobby (Morris Chestnut) asking, “Hey, why the **** do you need lighter fluid?”. Ryback’s reply of, “It’s like a detonator” is also cut
· Shortly after, when Ryback throws the makeshift bomb at the mercenaries upstairs, we fail to see some shots of the burning man knocking into another bad guy and setting him alight also
· In addition, we fail to see repeated shots of the two men in flames screaming and burning to death, along with some shots of other bad guys trying to put them out
· We also don’t get to see Penn (Everett McGill) shooting one of them in the back and saying, “Put him out”
· After pouring some lighter fluid on the stairs, Ryback shoots one mercenary with a flare gun. However, we do not get to see the bad guy fall to the bottom of the stairs in flames before standing up and being kicked out of an open door by Ryback, all whilst he is screaming as he burns to death
· The second bad guy to come down the same stairs has a small fight with Ryback. We do not see Ryback slamming him into the wall.
· Also, we do not get to see Ryback bending both of the bad guy’s hands back and snapping both of the his wrists as a result, making the bad guy scream in agony
· As Ryback is hanging on the side of the cliff, one bad guy comes down on a rope. After Ryback smacks him in the face multiple times, he should then be seen to ram the bad guy’s head into the cliff face. We do not get to see this fully, due to the removal of a slow-motion shot of the bad guy’s bloody face rebounding off the rock
· In the scene where Bobby is talking to Peter Greene’s mercenary and Bobby asks Ryback, “Wanna help me out here, man?” we do not get to see Ryback forcing the mercenary’s head back and snapping his neck
· After the “tits to die for” scene, Ryback throws a knife into one mercenary’s neck. We do not see him slowly falling to the ground, choking and dying
· In the sequence where Patrick Kilpatrick’s bad guy questions Penn’s logic, we do not get to see the former slowly drawing a knife from his clothing in extreme close-up
· We also fail to see properly the sight of Penn stabbing the aforementioned knife forcefully into the mercenary’s neck and the knife briefly seen to be sticking out
· When Ryback fights the mercenary in the carriage after dodging the bomb trap, we do not see Ryback locking the bad guy’s arm around his own and snapping it in two at the elbow
· When Penn threatens Dane with his knife, this has been removed and we starts the scene with Dane landing on the chair
· The following shot of Penn twirling the knife has been darkened to reduce the light glinting off the metal blade
· Towards the end of the film, Ryback finally meets Penn. Before their knife fight, we do not get to see the extreme close-ups of the two producing their knives, accompanied by heroic music
· As they fight, all close shots of the knives have been removed or darkened (the latter to make the blades less obvious)
· When Ryback breaks Penn’s neck, we lose the sound effect on the UK version
· As Travis Dane (Eric Bogosian) clings onto the helicopter, Ryback closes the door and Dane falls into the flames below. However, the UK version does not allow us to see why Dane really falls, and that is because all of his fingers are sliced off as the door is yanked closed

Hmm now why would they cut it? Would of thought all that would fall under an 18 rating. Guess I won't be getting this now, unless all the dvd versions are cut?

All UK DVD versions are cut. These cuts were made in the 90s, when the BBFC was much stricter about violence, particluarly violence in action movies, where they often thought the good guys were just as, if not more so, than the bad guys.

I saw the uncut versions when i was a kid lol
