Purchased from Asda in Cheltenham today, not sure if this is nation wide. Speaking to the check out lady and she explained they were £280 on Amazon at the beginning of the season. Excellent price for a good sturdy BBQ

This is a different BBQ, fully gas. 26 burger capacity
I picked up an incredibly cheap but good quality Charbroil gas BBQ around this time last year from Asda. If you're in store grab a few pictures of the barcodes and take them to customer service for a quick scan to see if there's any un-marked reductions.

I do prefer a charcoal bbq but gas is so much quicker and easier if you fancy some nice grub quickly 🏻

I'm a charcoal man all day long but this is one bloody good deal for those who want a gas one.

Cant beat real bbq'd food!

We have an older model of this paid £60 4 years ago cover it in winter and it's just starting to show some age, changed the gas regulator away from expensive patio gas and got an 1/2 empty bottle from gumtree for £12

Hardly the same taste. Tastes more like burger king flame grill than proper charcoal.

How is that taste even close to a proper bbq?
Anyone seen any in Scotland? Glasgow/Lanarkshire areas?

A gas barbeque that uses lava rocks tastes just like a charcoal barbeque (other than missing that hint of formaldehyde!). The gas burners heat the rocks which in turn heat the food and as @OutwithCameron1 said the smokey taste is created exactly the same way as with charcoal.

The old style gas ones that uses direct heat from the burners are indeed awful though.

Yes, but not from these cheaper BBQs.
Weber use flavorizer bars which go over the flame but also catch the fat/grease and burn and smoke. We brush the thickness off - but keep the burned stuff on....over time this builds up and you get a proper smokey flavour. I have had both for years.

If you buy the cheaper end BBQs then yes - it will cook, but not give off the best flavour.

This BBQ is a great price!!!! But long term won’t be the best quality. If you want to BBQ properly, get a Weber.
Reight bargain

Very droll!

Have to put my hand up and say I needed to Google that word. Learn something new everyday. Im going to attempt to use it in the coming week. Fun times.
In Leckwith (Cardiff) they have a while bunch of the charcoal version. £100 from £150.

Not as good a deal, but for those of you who prefer charcoal might still be worth checking your local Asda.

Be very careful dispensing such advice.

A lot... um... most(?).... gas bbq DO NOT work with stones. The stones capture a good proportion of the fat and lock in the heat below at the burners. This can result in all sorts of bad outcomes including the gas pipes melting.

The usual outcome is that the fat which does pass by the stones gets supper heated in the bottom of the bbq, the fat in the stones then catches fire, dips onto the fat below which also catches fire and the whole thing goes up. I've personally experienced 3 to 4 foot flames off of a bbq in such a state and there is little you can do to put it out other than, turn off the gas, try to smother it (if you can get close enough) but ultimately let it burn out and hope the BBQ survives without destroying the burners.

On the plus side, it's a hell of a sight!
There were about 7 or 8 in Westbrook Warrington about 2 hrs ago.
So unless u live in Australia where its too hot to cook in the kitchen for 6 months of the year stop wasting your time and taste buds and get real charcoal for the 10-20 weekend days we get
Got mine from Durham £44 absolute bargain !!

Hmm...the idea of adding rocks to one not meant for them does indeed sound somewhat scary. Nothing wrong with properly designed lava rock BBQs though.
Arnold have 3.left but priced at £100

1. Oven uses radiative heat from a hot metal.
2. Charcoal or briquette BBQ heats up the hydrocarbons (propane) locked into these organic materials and its actually those hydrocarbons that burn (Along with other impurities and possibly toxic materials), and give off the heat.
3. Gas BBQ burns off a pure (no impurities) hydrocarbon gas (mostly propane) and it burns cleanly that no residue (carbon and/or soot) is left on the food.

please, depending on your IQ, choose amongst the above!!!

Loads left in Blackpool but reduced from £179 to £100. However, it looks like a *slightly* different model, and the label is ‘Uniflame’ rather than ‘Uniflame Classic’ as per the deal pic. But, for all intents and purposes, it’s the same grill, with the “28 Burger Capacity” label on etc.

That is pure beauty in a burger but with one thing missing - loads of cheese in between each burger and the obligatory Mcds Gherkin!

Aint nothing goin on without jerkin the gherkin!

Great deal on the barbecue but in this weather it needs a large umbrella and a barby isnt a barby without the charcoal or wood!
