I got this but still can't tell if the tablet produced liquid or the actual condensation.

Expensive box, could just buy the disposable refills and not put them in this. (edited)

I have two of these in my loft
I don't have a vapour membrane but put in insulation and would like to keep the area condensation free from building up on the kingspan foil

Shouldn’t open your loft during winter unless your house is same temperature as outside

We've used these for years. They aren't dehumidifiers but useful for absorbing moisture from some places.

I remember seeing one that you could "refresh" by microwaving the cartridge but I have zero idea about their effectiveness or not, are those any good?

These are silicon beads. Mostly used in cars and other places to absorb humidity, but they won't extract as much.

Beware if you have indoor cats. I have found these irritate their eyes.

What Can I say in real life we should not need them at all
But because lot of old houses in UK build with thinking that wood and energy will be cheap forever at that time building

Anyway I do think they work , but to remove Moisture this type will cost lot of money

The best solution is heating and ventilation or only just ventilation

Better spend money on good air extraction ventilator

ive been using one for about a year in my camper. as got in it one winter day and there was condensation (tin roof no insulation) dripping over the cab.

had one of these in since and zero condensation

Partner wasn’t convinced her garage was damp, we put one of these in and she’s shocked at how much moisture was in the air.
These are the best non-powered ones we’ve found.
