Yes, they're anhydrous crystals, so basically absorb some of the moisture from the air around them.
You put them on a window sill or in a cupboard where you're worried about damp.

Save yourself £2.50.

This type of moisture absorbers are completely useless plus extremely expensive to run.

If you're having condensation problem at home, than try to fix it.
If you can't you'll need proper dehumidifier for about £150 (which will be a lot cheaper long term)
