Yes and a lot more, local security and stopwatch, local repeaters, pmr radios, UHF business radios used in hotels, factories, sports venues and theme parks for example, it is also an FM radio.

Use it with one of these on your car roof and you will pull in signals from miles around, far more interesting than the car radio. gearbest.com/wal…tml a lot of road maintanence workers and the likes of b&q now use pmr radios, there is always something interesting to listen to why stuck in traffic on your daily commute etc.

The old police radios were analouge and not scrambled hence why you can listen to them.

Late 90s used to listen to Merseyside police on my realistic 2026 scanner, great entertainment and high speed pursuits through the streets of Liverpool and Manchester were every 30mins

God can no longer listen to the police as there on airwaves, but hear some good arguments etc when workmen see there arse with each other or some factory worker is having a bust up with another colleague.

Shopwatch and pubwatch in parts of West Yorkshire were using the old police analogue radios around 4-6 years ago (easy to tell by looking at a slightly older scanning guides) I can only assume police have upgraded from the first batch of tetra and passed the older ones on to them.

This was good in the 90's when you could listen to 1g mobile convos and the police. Now its naff! With the internet do you really need to snoop on people?
Still have my Yupiteru mvt-7100 from the 90's. Still going strong and in use today, but mainly air shows and car rally events.
Oh dear, those reviews aren't favourable at all

The reviews are there for everyone to look at. If you go looking for critical reviews you will find them on most items, the first several reviews are all positive, I would be interested to know if other people think the reviews aren't favourable.

Yep I have one too, great scanner, definitely a cut above the rest back then and still serves me well now, I think I paid about £250 for mine if memory serves.

If I understand this correctly, you're advocating spending time and money to listen to random manual workers talking to one another.

Have I misunderstood this post?

Mobile phones, forgot about those LOL... some interesting stuff said on those
Like a few on here I also had a Yupiteru MVT-7100 in the 90's. That was a great piece of kit, didn't think there was much to listen to nowadays though. Can you still pick up baby monitors and cordless home phones?
Used mine exclusively within aviation but the definitive scanning guide covering just about every conceivable frequency use to be this
