The Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, which covers 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225 - 512MHz and 806 - 960MHz with 5/6.25/8.33/10/12.5KHz frequency steps.Includes Military Aircraft Band, CTCSS/DCS Squelch Modes and Alpha Tagging features too. Ideal for listening to the communication from Civil Air traffic Control, Boats, truckers operating on CB radio, Ham Radio/Amateur Operators, Sporting events, Churches and Mosques etc.The scanner comes with 2 x AA NiMH Rechargeable batteries, AC/DC adaptor with both EU 2 Pin and UK 3 PIn plugs and a USB cable, which enables you to charge it by using your i-Phone or other smart phone USB adaptor or if you are on the road, you can also charge it by using a USB adaptor, which plugs into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.

As far as I know a lot of mosques now broadcast the call to prayer on frequencies that can only be picked up on scanners.
I want one! Even though I don’t need one!
Excellent device, apart from the included antennas not great, recommend swapping it for the Watson W-881 Maplins will price match RW plus free delivery. Use mine mainly for military stuff, can also pick-up the Space Station if you're lucky
Great Scanner, we use ours at airshows & motor racing events etc during the summer, also connect it up to a antenna in the loft at home to listen to local airport and marine traffic..

Deffo a good deal at under £110 IMO

This is the same antenna as from gearbest but at 5 times the price, great reviews and will also allow you to take the scanner out in car. amazon.co.uk/Cen…nna and here is the link for the gearbest one, gearbest.com/wal…_de they work that good on the car I an even pick up the little 500mw pmr radios from 2 miles away now, they even work good stuck on a radiator or biscuit tin In the window. Iss use 145.800 frequency.

Hi, I am after an aerial for the loft, can I ask what aerial and coax you use?
Hi Southwales, I have a Diamond X300N dual band (2m/70cm) antenna fed with Ecoflex 10 coax.. Not cheap but you need a good coax at UHF frequencies..
