There's a good android remote for TV's @ same price

Brilliant app. I use it for controlling my PC from my bed when I've got it connected up to the TV.

Cheers OP. Didn't really need it....but it's a bargain so I bought it! Isn't that what this site is all about? Saving money on the things you need and spending the savings on things you don't!

Used the free version for a while waiting for an offer on the full one. Effectively free as I used my Play Rewards credit. Ta

This is a really good app, I've used it nearly from launch and it's made a lot of improvements on what was already a solid app. Very handy and easier for at home use over something like teamviewer, and it's actually pretty handy for work, I've used it during presentations and meetings before so I can be on my tablet and move around while my laptop is hooked up to the projector.

the one on Amazon shows that it has iap, i don't know if it is a free iap as part of underground or not. is it?

I've just installed it from Amazon Underground and it seems to work fine

Are there any other android remotes that can control the fire stick apart from the main amazon android fire remote app?
Could do with something with more features like numbers on main screen, for example. Macros would be handy too but not essential.

Tempted but then Teamviewer does most of this for free.

This is a great app, I've also been using it since it launched. And it's more like a remote touchpad/keyboard and remote control, TeamViewer is more of a VNC screen replication option. Perfect for Plex/Kodi and when you can't be arsed to reach for the wireless keyboard and mouse...

Thanks OP. Great find.

Amazon only have the free version which has a lot fewer remotes.

• Upgrade using in-app purchase ($3.99)

I have Kodi installed on the laptop, and wired into TV. Would this work as a remote for Kodi? It's a pain having to walk over to the laptop to change channel.

Just checked for you and it works perfectly Simply add the kodi remote in the app settings in the same way as you add any other.

For kodi just use yatse on the google play store.works with tablets and phones

Anyone know how this compares to the one that comes with the G3 and G4?

Saw the logo and thought it was a spotify deal for a moment...

The official Kodi/XBMC remote app called Kore is free and enables remote browsing of libraries, fanart, info etc: kodi.tv/kor…te/

It's worth pointing out that the Amazon version does include quite a long list of remotes - including Kodi, Chrome, Netflix, and alot of other stuff that I'd never heard of. It may be perfect for alot of people (and certainly was for me)

just purchased it...something I probably won't use but seems cool.

I got an extra 8p off for being a Play music subscriber and paid with the pennies earned from Google Opinion Rewards - Thanks OP.

I suspect it will go towards more stuff I don't really need! (I already have Logitech Harmony remotes and wireless keyboards for both my HTPCs)

I just use chrome remote for free
