This actually takes longer than 15 minutes to charge. I'd say about 1-2 hours. Don't know where they get the 15 minutes from.

It takes 15 minutes when using 15 minute Uniross batteries otherwise it reverts to slower charging.

Edit: It would be odd if it wasn't supplied with the 15 minute batteries, Maybe!.

I think you might be right CrackerJack. It is a 15 minute charger but appears to come supplied with ordinary nimh's. The photo above shows what it was like when originally released. It did come with 15 minute batteries at the time.

even with 15min batteries, believe it only takes 15mins for one battery, its arround 45 for 4. Still good price, HOT.

Ive had one of these for about 18 months. Its probably the best bit of Kit ive ever brought. With a 2 Year old using batteries in just about everything its a real help. It take 15 mins to charge ALL 4 batteries IF you buy the sprint batteries. If not it takes about 30-45 mins to charge my 3200mah nimh standard batteries. The best part is you can charge just 1 battery or 2 or 3 or 4 unlike alot of chargers that make you charge in pairs.

A truley great piece of kit at a good price......

I bought an extra pack of 15 minute sprint batteries for quite a bit and they take just as long to charge.

Can anybody confirm they have managed to charge sprint batteries in 15 mins.

Yes, mine do, however there only available in relativley low capacities ( 2100mah ) so I havent used mine for a while ( in a toy somewhere ! )

Total Charge including delivery appears to be £17.18. The charger comes with six batteries.

You are better off adding something else to bring the total up to £15 and qualify for free super delivery.

surely as the 'sprint' branded batteries are no longer availble then we could presume that the standard batteries now feature this capability.

I've been told that this charger is very noisy. If so, not suitable for some situations.

The more batteries you charge, the longer it takes to charge, hence people aren't getting the 15 minute charge. I think the 15 suggests the time it would take to charge 1 (or maybe it was 2) 2100 batteries. I cba to do the math.

One of my family members has this charger, bought a while ago as the price was pretty much the same - i have the sprint 1-2 hour charger which does the job for me - the sprint 15 does a great job and does charge the batteries really quickly. It does have a fan due to the power it outputs, it's not loud, but if you like complete silence in your room you can leave this in another room or just buy a different charger. It's more like a huming noise as it's only a small fan.

For the price, this is a great charger. It's comes with 6 x 2300 batteries AND a car charger. Can't complain too much at that price.

nice find but the price has gone up to £15.49

Now gone up to £28.93

You also have to consider how to make it up to £15 (may as well buy additional batteries than to spend the same cost on delivery)

Hope that helps. (It certainly helped my decision )

This is a better deal for the Express 700 charger, you can the 2xAAA batteries + in-car adapter for £1.22 more:

My uniross 15 sprint takes about 1-2 hours to charge. Even when I am only charging one battery.

15 minutes is a gross exageration. If batteries are idle for a month or so, the energy drains off the battery.

1-2 hours however is a great deal better than my old charger which took up to 10 hours!
