It's a very basic overnight charger, certainly worth upgrading.

"Free WWF Panda Keyring" - That clinched the deal for me.

Wow! A wrestling panda....cool.

2100 mAh

Just had a look ]here for the price and this ]here seems to confirm the 2100mAh theory. So hot by my reckoning.
Can someone change that URL so that ****.co.uk is pointing at ebay (I only added it to prove the 2100mAh), ta.

Not allowed to link to ebay, you can provide the auction number tho!

Forgot to add that the AAA size are 800mAh

So Annoyed! I just bought these a few days ago at the £13 price, I swear Amazon wait until I buy things to discount them...anyway the chargers a good one, it can charge up to 4 batteries at once (2 in the front + 2 in the back) and it has automatic cut off so wont keep charging them. The batteries are AA 2100mah and AAA 800mah, Hybrios batteries have an incredibly low self discharge rate so they last a long time in devices that sit unused for long periods.

Hott!! Orderd! Thanx!

The charger is very basic.

Make sure batteries are drained when you charge as it uses a simple charger.
I had half a dozen of these things from when they were at about £2.50 with 2 AA batteries.

I only bought them for the batteries. Not very green of me.

 I just remembered about that , ah Amazon the shop of shops, always got us covered :-D

edit: woah guys thanks for all the help, love this place

Here's some extra info on the charger from: directfoto.co.uk/sho…spx

The HYBRIO X-Press 300 is designed to charge NiCd and NiMh, AAA, AA, and PP3 (9V) batteries.
This charger can charge 4xAAA, 4xAA or 1xPP3 batteries in approximately 5-9 hours.
Batteries are rechargeable up to 500 times as opposed to the non Hybrios which seem to be 1,000 times, but when you think about the self discharge I guess you wont have to charge theses Hybrios as much depending on their usage.

Technical information
Control functions: Timer, trickle charge, indicators lights, bad cell detection
Plug : UK
Charging current
AAA 115-130mA
AA 285-320mA
9V 18-22mA
Uniross
System: CHARGER
Type: AAA/AA/PP3
Size: X-Press 300
Voltage: N/A
Capacity: N/A
Dimension: 62mm x 46 mm
Height: 112 mm
Weight: 350 g

So is the non-self-discharge the ONLY benefit of hybrios?

These batterys are amazing! Good price including charger, shame its only 6, 8 would have been better but still a good deal

Newer Hybrios are marked upto 1000 times like regular rechargeables, but only 1600mA AA will be packaged with chargers in future. The PP3 charge point on the X-Press 300 is unregulated.

Very nice of you to say that hoof hearted. Comments like that make it all the more worthwhile hunting for stuff. Cheers

The charger that comes with the batteries is better than this one http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41TKEpkoo7L._SL500_AA280_.jpg as there is a cut out at full charge. If you have a better spec Ni-MH charger then put away this charger as spare. Never buy these Hybrio batteries at >£7 as you get better Panasonic Infiniuum from 7dayshop and they are real Japanese quality makes. The same Uniross Hybrio is available at reasonable prices if you have a Screwfix near you. I bought about 8 packs of four , AAA and AA from them at about £5 and £6 a couple of months ago. Go to your local Screwfix store in person, if they don't have any in stock, they can order for you for collection at the store. For the similar money I have always preferred Panasonic rechargeables to the Uniross batteries. Better means 1) tends to be closer to the quote mh capacity, 2) better to cope with very fast chargers (mine can pump Panasonics rechargeable in less than 15 mins) 3) tends to survive repeated use with less chance of being dead or half dead Uniross makes many different speed chargers and their batteries are positioned with different qualities, some fair better than others. Panasonics one are more consistent quality.

Seems like a good price, haven't used Hybrio batteries before.

Def in need of some new rechargeables - will pick this up once I can work out what I need to take me over £15. Hot

Cheers for the tip on the Infiniuums splender

Screwfix's prices for both AA and AAA are currently £5.99 per pack of 4. This Amazon deal is better (as long as you get free postage) because for an extra £1 you get two AAA batteries worth £3 (and, of course, a charger).

Can anyone confirm whether the charger does turn itself off after a preset time, or is it left on as a trickle charge?
A charger that puts in 300Mah is still a bit high in my book, and funnily enough the charger I use most now is a 100Mah trickle charger in which the batteries I use don't get hot at all. I find the intelligent ones don't last as long in use or life probably because they get too hot. The back to back design of the charger isn't ideal for keeping the batteries cool. Still likely to get it tho

I've just spoken to a nice lady who's written it into her diary to order the C902 for me tomorrow morning...Even though I've had my contract only 6 weeks :-D

300mA is well under the 7H-420mA time/charge current written on the battery. I haven't tried the X-Press 300 yet as I have an Ansmann Energy 16 for home Charging.

Wrong thread perhaps? :prop:

Nice Deal thanks:thumbsup:

Cozworth806 - The charger switches to a maintenance mode (I assume trickle charge) after 9 hours (safety timer) according to the manual.
