Various Uniross Batteries are on offer with Buy 2 Get 1 Free.

You can have AA or AAA for example. Full details on the site.

For example, you can get 2 x 10 packs of AA plus 1 x 10 pack of AAA for what seems to be a great price of £3.98 for 30 brand name batteries delivered.

MyMemory site is wrong and the Uniross site is not - these really are Zinc, not Alkaline as MyMemory suggests. Sorry for the Alkaline in the original title.

Yes I just noticed that as well - too late. They are incorrectly described by the seller.

Stupid question, which is better Zinc or Alkaline? eg for wii remotes, digital cameras etc.,?

Of course there is, there's an excuse for everything!

I just put 3 boxes of AAA in my cart, went back to add some AA
and they had gone out of stock

Rechargeables are absolutely great if everything in your house that needs batteries is relatively new. Not everyone has new kit and so the 1.2v of a rechargeable is marginal, at best, for something expecting 1.5v - that includes me!!

Seems not everyone finds these bad value for money!! However, not expired due to the other types being available.

Unfortunately some new gear won't run on 1.2v rechargeables - I have looked at the Alkaline rechargeables offered by OWL - expensive but possibly a solution. You need an alkaline charger as well.
