When exactly did life begin? What really happened during the big bang - and before it? Is the universe expanding? Is dark matter real? Do we live in one of many worlds? What's more, how can we prove any of this?

This book is all about how we - any of us - can gain an understanding of the Universe in all its awe-inspiring glory.

I love books like these. This one and The Universe in Your Hand are highly recommended for anyone who's ever looked up at the night sky and marvelled in awe at the Milky Way and wondered how we came to be on a tiny, insignificant rock in the middle of all this majesty.

Not sure why you're being that uncharitable about Brian Cox.
Looks to be an informative read - ordered, thanks OP.

Me too. £3 to be educated, inspired, humbled and amazed is money well spent.

You obviously do not "follow" him!
I'd much rather have a physical book than reading it on a Kindle.

Have some heat as this is a great price delivered.

Agree about Carl Sagan, nobody can beat him. I'm a big Saganite, owning a lot of his books including Billions and Billions (he never said it lol)

Do you? You sound like you don't like him so maybe 'following' him is a tad counterintuitive.

It's a twitter account not a war for crying out loud.
Why more expensive for the kindle version?

Good reviews. Can't go wrong with Mr Cox stuff and Im not forgetting the great Carl Sagan, his original Cosmos series was incredible and stands shoulders above the rest even now.

The Cosmos series presented by Niel deG T is also good not just at talking about the universe but also going into the history of how the discoveries were made and important people throughout history. Hes also very reverential about Sagan.
Love Brian Cox x
