Was cheaper a week ago. But heat added
I mean, under a tenner is a good deal regardless, but this was £7.84 just a short while ago (which was an insane deal).
I've never seen any of these, are they worth the purchase?

I've got these and the picture quality is generally excellent. Frankenstein is stunning. Added....the packaging is good too with some nice cards shower the film posters

I’m 37 and I adore them and most generations older than me think they are brilliant too, but there’s a lot of younger horror youtubers (20-40yr olds) just getting into them, who find them a bit on the boring side and I can totally understand why (they are almost 90 years old though, they aren’t exactly swashbuckling action adventure films like all of the versions that came afterwards, but they were terrifying audiences who’d dare watch them late night in the cinema at the time in the 1930’s, nowadays you could watch with the kids on a Saturday morning probably) they are short just over an hour per film. Frankenstein is probably my favourite of them all, you’d have to watch them in the mindset that this is what they did back all those years ago and how they influenced everything going forward, it’s like a history lesson and some of these are the reason many horror films exist today.

In my opinion though regardless of whether you like them or not I don’t think many of the creature designs have been bettered often, they are iconic, they still stand the test of time 90 years later, incredible make up effects & some since have come close & many have copied but these are the original Iconic designs that are often still used today when you think of the characters.

And the sets look fantastic all these years later, Dracula the Spanish version is said to be even better than the English version and is included as a bonus film in full on the Dracula disc, which I still need to watch. You could argue though that many films since have been written better than these and I probably wouldn’t disagree.
