- This looks an unbranded copy of the popular Freeloader Solar Charger which has been the only serious contender to the much more expensive Solio and then later the Monkey Solar Charger used for powering ipods/mp3 players/mobiles/etc. on the move by solar or the internal USB charged up battery which is even more useful.

- The panel and rechargeable battery are 'probably' from the same factory in China as Freeloader. Freeloader has come down in price in the last 6 months to £25 in some places but most still sell it at £30 0r more. So this is a bargain and a slight misprice.

- They also have the copy of the cheaper Brown version of Freeloder but at a higher price of £17.99!

Google Solio and Freeloader which are the top market shareholders worldwide if not familiar with them already.

Solar panels pack down to half the size. The mid section is the battery to be charged by the sun or USB to charge up devices on the move.

I didn't need to, the near giveaway expensive hp's USB hub/adaptor was a free postage item but I just saw it's sold out.

Not very-good reviews about them on amazon!

They are ok, but don't rely on them. I have had one for a few years. Took it to Italy, left it in the sun all day and it only just about gave me a few minutes charge for mobile. Just recharge it by the mains before you go on hols.

Sounds about right!
A couple of recent threads on solar chargers:

A bit of a chocolate teapot - although at least you cold EAT one of those!

Don't bother, if you want solar invest in a small capable panel, these type are best left on the shelf (I got one the freloader, it went wrong very quickly ..leaking replacement received floppy panel connectionsso, bad charging connection.
Buy two & you may just have enough power on your travels if both are used! ..personally I can do better.
The other bad thing is reverse drain, so if you use it on say a psp, connect it to trasfer power, forget it a while then go back both are dead!
