This isn't aimed at you specifically OP but I need to vent my anger... WILL USERS STOP POSTING FUEL PRICES AS DEALS, they're not deals, in fact we're still being fobbed off but thats a different story. Fuel prices across the nation will vary by a few pence, unless its a fantastic saving in an area when a garage is closing down I think MODs should remove them.
the price of oil these days petrol prices should be half that price..

As someone said the other day on another fuel thread, the minimum price that profit-free fuel would be after duty (58p/L) and the VAT on that duty (20% of 58p) is about 70p a litre. Half price petrol/diesel couldn't happen without a huge cut to the taxes imposed upon it.

I know that I'm just pointing out that he actual price of oil is cheap ****

That isn't possible. A £1 a litre petrol price consists of 75p of tax and VAT. So the oil companies only have 25p to pay with.

I don't know why the garages don't break down the price on the receipt so it highlights how much the government take from us for something that's a necessity for a lot of us. The fuel price doesn't just effect the cost of fueling your car it increases the prices of every product that has to be transported to reach the shop.

Hot. Thanks
Smoking hot because I lived on Garstang Road near the Withy Trees. I do prefer Shell too.
Supermarket petrol station 99.9p is hot but Shell 97.9p is cold... ????
ASDA has been 97.8 for about a week! That's why this is cold.
