Thought this was just their normal pricing, rather than an actual deal. Still, best value 4G around IMO.

is 4G on three limited to 14mbps?

I ask because I can genuinely get about 8+mbps already on 3g with three, so it hardly seems worth the effort of upgrading the hardware..

Can you use this Sim in a dongle or tablet ? If so, goodbye TalkTalk !!

4g still hasn't actually been launched yet, i've had the update along with hundreds of others in manchester but it hasn't gone live yet

No I believe that's the average speed that they're pushing. I've had 23mbps on 3G with my iPhone 5

No it knows your not using a phone so dongle won't work, not sure re tablet but expect the same result.

Mine which is the one plan with tethering only worked for a short time in a mifi job.

Standard price from Three.

Damn - I wanted to put it in a MiFi - still I could get a 4G phone and just tether I guess.

how?

I mean, it's not that I dont believe you, but all the evidence I'm aware of is that the only way to know if you're tethering or not is based on volume of data.

Superhero 4G!

I'm currently on rhe M6 (not driving!) using my iPad tethered to my phone with 3one plan sim. Works perfectly, highly recommended.

It's a staggered rollout, not everyone is getting 4G

No idea how but you get directed to a web page telling you tethering not included and you can add it if you want.....

Not tried it in Manchester myself yet but their coverage checker online seems to suggest its already live (rather than "this is one of our launch cities")

Edit: reading that blog states that it's only initially selected individuals who are taking part. You would know by now if you've been selected.

I'm on Three in London and I haven't received the update. I'm also next to a 4G mast. Not sure if its because I'm using a PayG sim?

nice deal 4G is a nice touch makes such a difference

I had about 22mbps on three.

Thats a pretty good deal to be fair. £12 gets you 250 mins, unlimited text and unlimited data on Giffgaff, but its not 4G (possibly better coverage).

You can tether, but only with the one plan. The other all you can eat data deals are limited to phone browsing only.

Not sure about putting your one plan SIM in a tablet or dongle. Wouldn't mind knowing that myself. I have the SIM just not the device.

SO this doesn't include tethering?!

Not likely to be around this area for a good while yet, saying that I probably won't get much of a boost anyway, already gett 10+ all day every day.

Use three as a replacement landline broadband service, use 150gb a month, but will be moving to sign only in 10 days when my contract ends

Three are imo a great network, the best in the UK currently, cheaper than a lot of other networks, great UK wide coverage, constantly setting the cat amongst the pigeons...

No you can't actually, this is just for phones.
They will block it if you use it in a dongle, MiFi, tablet etc.
I tried this and it worked for a month or so after which it got blocked and seen reports all over the internet about this happening.

I think you'll have to contact 3 to get 4G enable on your account. They're doing a stealth roll-out to avoid swamping their network on day one.

beware, three have the worst customer service and despite the coverage they claim, it is terrible coverage....
good value though, nice find!

I would say they are strict, and they will block internet access from any device that is not a phone.
This is from my personal experience, do you actually use a SIM like this in a dongle or tablet successfully?

Until it's in towns no good to me
