still waiting for my cash card after 5 weeks

If I remember correctly you have to claim it. They don't send it automatically. Of course you might have done that, just thought it might be worth mentioning it.
you may have a job getting the cashback, I went with them for the cashback and Sainsburys voucher, had a job getting the voucher, then they said I had joined up over the telephone and had no record of joining by a web site, after using cash back for years, I would never be stupid enough to phone up a company to join. After several months of fighting with them, got the cashback.

Then my year was up so changed from BT, but they are still billing me, so stopped the direct debit and phoned them, and a gentlemen in India despite asking him to slow down in speaking so I could understand him, would not accept I was not still with them. I asked him to look up my records on billing, and he said that was not possible, after nearly an hour of arguing and asking for his manager or team leader, he said he was in charge and their was nobody above him. So I then said if he was in charge he could look at my bill. He eventually agreed, and then admitted that I had not used the broadband or made a phone call in the last 6 weeks, but I was still with them and he would cut off my telephone line if I did not pay the outstanding bills.
I still have not been able to resolve this with BT.
But my new supplier has said I am with them and ignore BT. So lets see how long till I can get my over payment back.
So if you have a problem with them, do NOT try phoning.

Thank you so much for your input. I didn't know I had to claim.
awful company....I paid for infinity 2 for two years and was only getting approx 28-30 Mbps ...when I queried it with them they said my line wasn't capable of getting above this therefore i would have never reached the infinity 2 speeds of 76mbps anyway
asked why when I took out the infinity 2 contract I wasn't told this they said they weren't obliged to tell me!!!!

Put in official complaint an email the claims team, they tried it with me an I ended up getting sent wrong card but allowed to keep it and also the other correct one.
Anyone with BT in contract still you can leave before July 2nd due to there price increases an even if Ur happy with them you can't blag them by agreeing to join other provider an bt should match or better any provider, they did for me but I'm leaving them still.

They certainly are obliged to tell you, they have signed up to the voluntary code of conduct:

I would take that further and report them to Ofcom.

For these technologies, ISPs should:give customers an estimate of the maximum speed they can get;provide a ‘line checker’ on their website that estimates the maximum speed a customer can expect, and make sure this figure is clearly shown;not ask the customer to give their financial details or to pay until they have been told their estimated speed; andgive customers speed information in writing, or in a ‘My account’ section on their website within 7 days of the sale.

When you take out the contract, you are quoted your speed range estimate for Infinity 2 and this is confirmed by email. If Openreach are unable to provide your quoted Infinity 2 speeds after an engineer visit, then BT will have no problem changing you to the cheaper Infinity 1.
Does Quidco always pay up with the BT offer? Anyone experienced not getting paid?

Also can someone explain what the reward card is all about, is it to be spent in their store?

Good deal on the face of it but be careful with BT.
Over complicated billing with a lot of separate discounts applied to give the deal.
They are very sneaky with the separate deal discount contracts expiring at different times hence tying you into another discounted contract or paying a higher price for the remainder of the contract on the part which no longer discount applied.
Cold from me go with honest pricing plusnet. In essence the same company and service but you ain't subsidising the massive amount BT Sports pays for its premiership rights
I recently upgrade to fibre broadband with BT.
My standard speed before the upgrade was around 8Mbps.
Now with this all singing 54MB/s broadband look at the speed i get now!!! Guess how im gonna vote?

is it just me or does every broadband deal posted on here result in comments from unsatisfied customers? is there actually one company that the majority are happy with?

You can check your true sync speed by accessing the home hub manager by going to http://bthomehub.home and clicking on advanced settings>broadband>connection

If your sync speed is then less than your minimum guaranteed speed then you would need to contact their technical help.

Upstream: 9.765 Mbps
Very happy with my above speeds from BT infinity 1 :-)
Update on my experience with BT so far, got delayed by 3 months and got overcharged by £80 had to chase them up to refund me.
