Unilimited calls and texts + 500mb data for £5 per month.

It's by Sky and they use O2 for signal (excelent around our area)

On their website, it says you have to add the 500mb data for £5 per month and you only get the unlimited calls and texts free if you're a sky customer otherwise it's an additional £10 pm.

However, if you ring them, the advisor will give you the texts and calls free anyway even if you're not a sky customer. They'll only do that for 12 months though (in a 12 month contract).

I've got this deal for 2 people already so I know that they do it, even if it isn't advertised on the site.

If you are a sky customer, then they'll do the free calls and texts until you're a sky customer i.e. until you have sky tv and/or broadband and/or home telephone etc... so there's no 12 month limit for you.

One excellent aspect that should be highlighted with this deal is that any unused data per month can be rolled-over for up to 3 years - yes, THREE years.

Quoted from: sky.com/sho…res

"Your data is yours to keep.

At the end of every month, we’ll automatically Roll over whatever’s left into your Sky Piggybank, to use whenever you like.

There’s no limit to how much you can store and you can keep it for 3 years.

If you run out, you can simply Roll back data from your Sky Piggybank to use instantly whenever you need it."

The description is a bit weird - "If you are a sky customer, then they'll do the free calls and texts until you're a sky customer" etc.

My understanding is that the free calls and texts are normally only available to Sky TV customers - I'm not offered it, as I'm only a Phone/Broadband customer. But you seem to suggest phoning them, they'll give you the deal anyway.

Agree, think he means "if you leave Sky TV, you lose the free calls":

Unlimited Calls and Texts are free for as long as you're a Sky TV customer.

ah, when I rang them they simply said if you're an existing sky customer, that's it. They gave the deal to my wife and niece anyway, they're not existing customers. But like I said, it's only for 12 months.

You can also get this via Uswitch but does just take you through to your Sky sign in page so I assume you can just sign in and get it.
Seems best deal for minutes and texts at the moment with no cash back hassle but data is low.
Was looking at this myself.

Your wife presumably shares your home with you - so her sky id can be added to your account. Your niece is probably also being treated as family. Sky (as most companies are) will usually only talk to the account holder, so if you managed to get them the offers, they will (probably) be regarding you as that holder.

Nope... Totally new account. Also, my niece doesn't have sky, she's got Virgin at home for everything

i can confirm despite their advert stating that you need sky tv which i dont they will accept broadband customers only

I still have sky id but cancelled TV in march, would I qualify?

I don't have sky but got this with a 25% off referral discount. Does it for DW for whom 5000 mins a month is not enough.

Yes

My Sky broadband contract ends in a week, would that be enough time to nab this deal and pay just the £5pm for the next 12 months?

best give them a call

Best deal if you had sky package then mobile deal is half price from what is advertised

Be aware sim will not work in an O2 phone, only a Sky provided phone or unlocked phone

No go for me, they said it wasn't available any more without TV.

Do they allow port in on numbers - think my 3 deal SIM only deal is coming up for renewal?

Just confirmed with Sky this is for TV customers only, looks like OP got an advisor that didn't know what they were doing!

Is it a 12 month contract I prefer payg and having control if my payments as I'm a really light user?

Sky's generosity with the Roll Back data is tempered a little by them debiting from the Piggybank in 1GB chunks when you dip into it. On a 500MB data plan that really does make it nothing more than an emergency data reserve that you might only be able to really use once or twice a year in practice.

They don't do shockproof all their plans include capping, rollover and roaming

Guys, if you have a Friends & Family code this deal drops to £3.75 per month.
Absolute bargain.

Seems Quidco are doing £30 cashback on this £5 plan
