Is this any good?

Free sim - top up £9.95 and get unlimited calls to 8 countries for 30 days. As far as I can tell, simply top up again at the end of the 30 days.

Countries included: India, USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand.

I call the US and India a lot, so am thinking about signing up for this using an old mobile phone, and using that mobile only for calling those countries.

PS - more countries included for £19.95. Can also get unlimited UK calls, texts, and data for £29/£38/£39. (need to check what the fair use policy is though)

very good deal for a heavy user.. (for a light user - Delight mobile charge you only 0.5p to india..)

The only experience I've ever had with Lebara was a few years ago when several transaction's appeared on my statement even though I never made them and had never heard of them before. They were not very helpful either. Luckily the bank sorted it all out.

That said it's not like it was Lebara's fault. My card details were most likely stolen when shopto were hacked around the time it happened but still they seemed disinterested and seemed to know about it to.

As far as I can tell though, this deal is effectively PAYG, so no statements/contract. Simply top-up whenever you want.

That's what the person who had my card details was doing. Buying PAYG credit of different amount's between £5 and £20. I think there was around 5 or 6 transaction's. Luckily I caught it on the day and had the bank block the card or it could of been a lot more.

Again though that's not Lebara's fault I was just a bit annoyed by there lack of support in the matter. They wanted nothing to do with it even though stolen card details were being used. I've since found out that the people who steal card details use these top-up company as a way of testing the card is active before using it elsewhere or selling the card details on.
