Sky Line Rental
At just £14.50 a month, Sky Line Rental is cheaper than BT’s standard monthly price and comes with a great range of call features. Plus you’ll get just one simple bill for all your home phone charges.

Alternatively, you can save £50 when you pay for 12 months line rental upfront, which works out at just £9.95 per month†.

Only available by calling 08442 410311. BT customers pay 5.1p/min and 15p connection. Calls from other providers will vary.

Do you have an active phone line already?
You can still get Sky Line Rental if you already have an active phone line. You can keep your handset and should be able to keep your number - we can help you switch to Sky whatever your situation.

If you don't have a compatible line, you can get a new one from Sky for just £15 when you take Sky Line Rental online.

Don't have an active phone line?
Sky can install a new phone line if you do not have an active phone line or if it is not compatible with Sky (£10 set up fee applies).

Even the "free" ones?

what about 0844 numbers?

most calls to companies are this number now, after they all abandoned 0845 numbers!

even $ky use 0844.

Connection fee
The connection fee for non-inclusive calls will remain at 13.87p. Connection fees do not apply to inclusive calls

So what happens to the people who already have sky talk anytime? Do we now get these destinations added on to our anytime package? I have just been on the sky website and have noticed that they now do a sky anytime UK for £5 and Anytime International for £10, cheeky of sky to do this really.

That's 10 pounds a month in addition to the line rental fee. If you wanna make international calls, I still think getting a SIM such as Lyca will work out cheaper, plus you get to use it on your mobile so there's added mobility. As I recall, call rates to most countries are around 1p to 5p per minute.

Damm, Kenya is not included. Africa must be the most expensive place to call in the world. Even with cheapo SIM (most have pretty poor quality btw), my mrs spends £30 or £40 a month on phone calls. Be worth getting sky phone just for that.

Good deal

Thanks for posting

Great for south East Asians I guess

Heat added.

Thanks. I have AOL Talk and I rang them and said I am going over to SKY because of this offer and they responded by giving me the International Boost for £5 and then giving me a credit of £5 every month and so giving me 500 minutes of FREE INTERNATIONAL CALLS a month !!!

I wouldn't have rung them if it wasn't for this post.

I just checked this with SKY, as I have Talk Anytime and suspected this was a sneaky price increase of £5 a month. The CSR I spoke to advised that the existing Talk Anytime package is no longer available to new customers, having been replaced with either Talk Anytime International if you want free calls to the 50 countries listed, or Talk Anytime UK if you don't want international calls included.

However, customers who already have Talk Anytime can stay on that package (at least for the time being) and continue to have calls to 22 countries included. Calls to 0845 numbers are not included, so I'm weighing up whether it would be better to have 0845 numbers and use Localphone for international calls or stick with what I've got.

0845 numbers are charged at 6.63p per minute.

The list of countries included on original Talk Anytime is : Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Irish Republic, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and USA (also includes calls to mobiles in Canada and USA).

The list of countries included on Talk Anytime International is: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Canary Islands, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Irish Republic, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, USA (also includes calls to mobiles in Canada, Hong Kong and USA).

Hope this helps!
