From Amazon website.

To stream in 4K Ultra HD, you need a high-speed Internet connection of at least 15 Mbps. Some video apps need even faster speeds to stream in 4K Ultra HD. For example, Netflix and YouTube recommend a connection of at least 20 Mbps.

So sounds like it's speed that's the problem. You can check the guaranteed speed BT will supply you with before purchasing.

no i knew that but thanks. just been offered rubbish retention deal with virgin and on 100mb, so im shopping around and BT do 76mb just unsure is all (nervous i should say).

BT have been generally quite good (in my area anyway). Haven't had any issues streaming 4k so far.

I did a deal like this last year, never got my cash card even after complaining.

I'm on Infinity 1, but got the free 70mb upgrade a little while back, if you can link me to some 4k content I'll give it a go. I don't have Netflix or anything though, too cheap for that stuff

No, I don't have that either haha, I put stuff in my wishlists until it goes over £20 and order it all at once

That youtube video is playing back flawlessly, if I skip to a different part of the video, takes 2 or 3 seconds then starts playing perfectly again. But I'm also using my free Google Play subscription and my little sister is doing her thing on her laptop too.32547651-7UxEr.jpg

Yup - they said it wasn't valid for my order. They couldn't tell me why, just that my order wasn't applicable.

Unless BT have Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) in your area, it will be Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) what speed you will get will depend on how far you are from the cabinet and the condition of your line. There's a check you can run but you need a BT phone line.

No point paying for Unlimited Infinity 2 if your line doesn't support that speed, you have to be pretty close to the cabinet to get 76MB

That's great at least you are getting what you pay for too only off by couple of mb and as you said someone else is online so that's good. Upload speed is amazing too never had half that on virgin but I get 120 download off peak and 90 on peak
