Old news

Prefer the Happy Hour between 3 - 5pm :-)

Been out ages. Only extended as they stopped happy hour. Probably revert after summer holidays as they want to make money on drinks and other stuff

Had a dire meal at PH last Saturday at the Trafford Centre..absolutely awful service and overcooked tasteless pizza and children's mealls were awful too
This chain has gone major downhill over the last few years
£28 it cost us and rubbish,, wouldn't go again even it was half the price!

finishes next week!!!
for chool term

Hopefully when school Hols are over the Happy Hour will be back

cant speak for the whole chain but my local serves proper rank food. Not worth the deal price.

The trick is don't eat the crusts. If u are feeling really tight scrape off the toppings onto one slice and discard the rest.

Also ask for free tap water and not coke.

Occasionally go to the toilet and vomit it up

Most Pizza Huts do awful awful food.

About every six months I forget this and pop along for a buffet dinner.

I always regret it, rubbish reheated food, very poor bases.

Seriously, just pop into Sainsburys / Tescos, get a loaf for £1, some cheese slices for £1 and a mixture of sliced meats, etc, save yourselves £20 and feed four.

I could make a sandwich with this but would struggle to make a pizza.

I could just pop to Sainsburys / Tescos and buy a pizza, actually I think I have a goodfellas in the freezer and I don't need to slice bread or vomit any up to get my money's worth.

I hope they bring back the happy hour, as it is much better value for money and the food is much higher quality. It seemed to disappear from the website several weeeks ago when they did this extended buffet but it is now back on the website (Look here) With the buffet you get unlimited lower quality pizza, pasta, garlic bread strips and salad for £6.99. With the happy hour you had unlimited salad and soft drinks, plus a starter and a filling, higher quality pizza or pasta for £6 and for £1 extra an ice cream factory (unlimited ices cream/sweets/sauces).

Can I also suggest stuffing your cheeks like a man-hampster and then popping the contents into a tupperware container later or alternatively paying for one (usualy the fattest one in the party) and feeding the family later using the money-saving "bird regurgitation" technique.

I like it, also works with the all you can drink coke.If they are really big just hide a few slices in the fat folds. Keeps it toasty.

All pizza hits still do happy hour! Just not advertised, ask the waitress/waiter at the door and they HAVE to give you the menu

Earlier in the summer, in Pizza Huts at Leyton Mills and Tottenham Hale they let me have Happy Hour instead of the extended buffet but a few weeks ago in Nottingham Castle Marina, they said that Happy Hour had stopped and there was only the extended buffet or a la carte. I did the buffet but was disappointed with the quality of the pizza and at paying more to get less.

I would never eat there again poor mans pizza express.

Happy Hour is still available at my local. It's not being advertised though so you need to ask for it.

I have been to the Pizza Hut at Altrincham Retail twice over the period of a couple of months and both times both the customer service and food has been excellent.

Went at different times (took advantage of two for one the second) and purchased different pizza's each time. I love the fact that the as soon as I finish a lovely bowl of pasta and salad at the place the pizza's are ready.

In relation to Pizza Express, I have heard disappointing things about the food there and visited the Bury restaurant to see what the prices were like (no menu at the door like the Frankie's & Benny's nearby) and was welcomed to noisy customers and being constantly pressured in buying a drink.

I emailed Pizza Hut about Happy Hour in summer and was told that it was up to each local store whether they would have it on.
My local Pizza Hut definitely stopped over the summer. Schools in Scotland returned between 1 & 2 weeks ago so I'm waiting for Happy Hour being reinstated.
ps It's great that we are all different and choose to eat in different places. Personally I enjoy pizza from PH and the salad bar is always well stocked.

Why did you carry on eating it and not ask to speak to the manager explaining how you will be leaving and not paying for the food?

rubbish cold and dry pizzas pastas if you fancy

I think the food is normally of a high quality if it is a la carte. My local in Chesterfield said that the extended buffet ends on Friday and the Happy Hour may be returning next week, since the children go back to school

Haha yeah I guess Pizza Hut isn't somewhere you would normally use that expression, although I think the food in the happy hour and off the menu is of a high standard. I much prefer regular restaurants like Pizza Hut rather than high class places where the phrase 'a la care' would normally be used. Recently I ate at a fancy restaurant in a four star hotel in London and did not appreciate the pathetic, tiny portions and poncey food (e.g. like the crappy portions/presentation you see on Master Chef).

Its ok food. Not the best. Ok.
