Not unlimited. Has a cap of 3gb

This gets posted every month!

can you tether the data to laptop

Unlimited usage is subject only to a variation of speed from 3G to 64 kbit/s for usage beyond 3GB per month per SIM.

never h e ard of them. anyone know what the coverage is like?

Lol .. Vectone have been around for a few years still (but previously predominantly in the International Calling SIM arena for about 5 years or so now?).

They're basically along the lines of Lebara & stuff ..... (but haven't proved to be as common yet for some reason ... )

But from what i've seen of them, they seem fairly decent to me still. :-)

5GB limited and under the offer, else 3GB...

I acrimoniously left vectone a while ago, I wished I had these warnings … I acrimoniously left vectone a while ago, I wished I had these warnings before joining them.If you have opted in, keep your eyes and ears wide opened, they are very very sneaky.BEST WARNINGS:ciarandanielbyrne1#33No customer service goodluck trying to cancel, I wish Id paid £15 a month not to be with them hahahaGollywood#47Awful awful company. You have been warned!!ihsan#71Beware from this company One of the worst company in ukeangel786a#92For the love of god do NOT transfer your number to these cowboys! Their deals change all the time, customer service is non-existent. I tried this for a month before deciding, when I bought the sim, calls to Africa were included. Next month it was not. If you see now, International calls are no longer included altogether. Not worth moving permanently to. Its a cowboy setup. If you look online, you will see people have had a mare getting the PAC code to transfer their number out. Try it if you can but don't jump in and commit your number before you're sure is my advice.tonge77#93Avoid at all costs. These are a bunch of thieves. My sim failed after two days, have still to get my £15 back AS THEY DON'T SPEAK HARDLY ANY ENGLISH then they had the cheek to take another £10 from my card after i had cancelled the debit. I have reported them to Ofcom. gnowak84#68CUSTOMER SERVICE BARELY SPOKE ENGLISH, and none of my issues got resolved. Other than that, I got a pac code without going through unnecessary conversations about your reasons, etc

I love the way "Unlimited" is not...!

Their customer service is disgraceful. I would never consider going back.

You will probably end up approaching your bank to terminate the service, getting Vectone customer disservice to do anything useful is like being pulled through a hedge backwards in bad weather.

so is this 4G for the first 3Gb?

They often have good prices for new customers, then 2 or 3 months later bring in another new deal while hiking the old deals. Lots of complaints with regard to credit going missing. I used them on payg with shop bought voucher for cheap calls abroad, that way they don't have my bank details. Problem was that having bought a voucher when the prices were good, the next month the rates changed and you still have half your credit left and the rate goes up.
Their headline rate is only available to new customers, smart rate, happy rate etc.

india mobile

is this 4g?

Will definitely hike the rate the next month or month after. Nothing is fixed with Vectone. So unless you want a sim for just 1 month, look elsewhere. Vectone CS is a joke.

They use the ee network so overall pretty good coverage.

scumbag company

I have used their service. This is like pay as you go bundle. Just top up and send text to activate a bundle. No need to sign in a contract or anything. Worth to try as no other network gives unlimited everything for £10. Data will change from 3G to 2G after 3Gb usage. Even with all these offers, unless and until they employ good cs agents they won't get any continuing long standing customers. Worth to try I would say

most of the time data is unavailable and need to reconnect by restarting phone. After 2 to 3 times trying one can get the call connected. this service should be stopped.

I'm with them, my advice use the number they give as a second line, buy top up from newsagent/shop, be prepared to exit if they stop the deal. Been using in my phablet for 3 months without issue, good 3g signal (EE) and have had no issues.

If it looks too good to be true and you want to give them your bank details and possibly go through inconvenience of having service restricted later go ahead. Alternatively using it as payg and porting number etc. could be as frustrating when wanting to move on. Personally don't need the hassle

Alex the link you attached is directing to a spam page!

I ordered ans sim and after sending the PAC to have my numbered transferred I basically gave up after 5 days.

Try ringing their customer services , you've more chance of getting through to the Queen. I certainly would not recommend them so I went with Virgin and on a £12 a month with 2gb data

alex_uk

I don't even recommend to use this network, read article … I don't even recommend to use this network, read article why:http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/03/vectone_mobile_service_down_for_whole_week_return/

lol, looks like the've gone bust. only an idiot would waste their money on them

Maybe good price but really bad customer service.Think twice before moving over

It's unbelievable that companies still advertise limited data allowances this way.

Three called theirs "all you can eat" to distance themselves from the unlimited offers which actually have limits. Just like this.

I am with Vectone at the moment.

Yes they sometimes do strange accounting, but if you are on PAYG and load enough money to buy a bundle straight away, then it is OK.

No 4G.

The company exists for at least several years.

The prices are really good (even if "unlimited" data is not that unlimited) and included international calls are a big plus for those who needs it. Mind, though, that their calls probably have low priority or something - during big days, like new year's eve, it was impossible to call abroad, but I called just fine from the land line.

They like catchy phrases for their deals, but small print usually has the real details. I haven't noticed that existing users would be somehow discriminated.

They are OK'ish when all works, but when things start going south, this is where the problems start. Their support is total rubbish - several Indian people who are trained to help with basic problems only. Other than that - and they log a case which never gets resolved. Several weeks ago they had a huge outage, which lasted for several days. Since then I have limited connectivity (internet was not working, now I can't make calls) - and it still is not resolved.

I will be moving away from Vectone soon ...

(even if "unlimited" data is not that unlimited)

lol

oxymorons'r'us!

Something can't be "a bit" unlimited. Unlimited means "without limits". It's either unlimited, or it's not. Simple as that. Which is why I'm still amazed that limited allowances can be advertised as otherwise.

Fair Usage Policies are limits.

End of.

Ha you dreamer ! You'll be lucky if it's 3G ! This reminds me a 1999 analogue contract
I had ! Apparently they've been "upgrading their systems" presumably from a zx spectrum to an Amstrad with no improvements to the consumer

Vectone..no thanks!
