The description is all Amazon's blurb, I see it as Amazon collecting your revenge porn / celebrity photos.

not really free as you have to pay for prime to get the 'unlimited' storage

Has your Prime gone up? Mine has stayed the same.

Not free - requires paid subscription.

It's irrelevant whether the price has gone up (though it has indeed recently increased in price...). You cannot get this photo storage without paying for it, therefore it isn't free.

Am never a fan of anything "cloud". It's maybe free to use but you are essentially giving away your privacy.

freebiehunter was complaining that it was not free as you had to pay for Prime. I have paid and now have free (for no more money Prime Photos) in the same way as freebiehunter pays his o2 bill each month yet claims an o2 app is free that is unusable unless they pay o2 each month.

It's completely usable without paying O2 each month. You can get it without ever paying them a penny.

Surely you need an an activated sim and to do that you need to top up

I'm not sure you do have to top up to activate the sim. I'm sure I was able to receive calls on a sim I hadn't ever topped up before.

Either way, you definitely don't have to top up to make it work with Priority.

It may work with it but you still need one to get the app (_;)

Thank you OP. For the confused and/or obtuse, it is free as in at no extra charge. Hope that helps you understand what the deal is.

You do, but the sim card is free.

No-one here is confused or obtuse - we know full well how the pricing works. The rules of this section say you can only post things that have no charge at all. It is physically impossible for me to get this deal without subscribing at a cost to Amazon Prime, therefore it doesn't strictly count as a freebie - you're paying for it in the subscription fee.

Granted, it would have been nicer if I also thanked the OP for bringing this to people's attention (thanks!) but it is completely correct to question whether this counts as a freebie or not.

For free photos in the cloud, you can potentially use Flickr (1TB limit), or Google + (unlimited if you restrict photo size).

Ladies......!!!

Can't we all just get along

Well said, let's all have a good day

For those who already with a prime membership, and a Fire TV box, this is pretty good news. Voted hot
