But the new B535 has also been reduced if you are an existing customer to £18pm

Why on earth would you want 4G broadband? It's just ridiculously slow …Why on earth would you want 4G broadband? It's just ridiculously slow compared to fibre.

There are some places you cannot get fibre. Or your only option is virgin who are pretty expensive compare to this.
I’ve had mine since April. I took out the b311. It wasn’t too bad but then kept just cutting out, they sent me out a Ai Cube for free. Which does the same thing. However when it works the speeds I get are great. For all the hassle they actually credited my account £150. Which I wasn’t complaining about. I’ve found that setting the router to reboot every day seems to fix the dropping signal issue. It’s apparently a problem with the huawei software where it drops 4g and won’t go back to it so retains in 3G. They know about it but are still selling them. But that’s the only way round I’ve found. But the speeds are faster than my broadband and cheaper so I just restart it daily automatically in the settings and it’s been working good since. The b535 is the best one.

Couple of questions, because this seems a stonking deal.

1. Can the allowance be used abroad?

2. Is Three as fast, reliable etc as EE?

I currently pay £15/month for 30GB, no contract, which is enough for me, but this would allow me to stream more without any hangups on the limit.
Very good price for unlimited as I'm currently paying £20.50 for their unlimited sim atm. I however, would recommend upgrading the router to something a bit better as B311 is a bit pants, Only cat4 LTE and only supports N wireless, no AC support!

Oh, just seen that you mentioned the B535. IMO that's worth paying the extra £2 a month for

I wonder if my free 200mb a month sim would qualify me for this?

I'm unsure about the Mobile Broadband sims being using abroad, but I'm guessing they can't as it isn't mentioned anywhere that they can be used overseas.

As for Reliable as EE, I wouldn't say so TBH. The coverage is pretty patchy. I would recommend getting a free sim with the 200 MB included and trying it out where you are first. Better than taking a credit hit and then returning the sim if the covarage isn't to you liking.

Depends where you are. I've had 4G speeds close to 200Mbits/s, though that was on my Vodafone sim

Ask Gigaclear who still can't say when we'll get fibre! Best FTTC speed I used to get was 42MB/S. 4g is sporadic here so 25 is possible but not reliable. Out and about I once got 120 MB/S on 4G!

Some blocks of Flats baulk at letting ISP's fit their stuff in the Comms room... this looks quite interesting ..anything quicker than 10mb , please ...
Was interested until I checked signal strength on mobile. Seems I'm lucky if get one bar on Three 4G. Normally signal drops down to 3G.

Mobile broadband has the same roaming as Three's advanced sims.

It says it in the T&Cs.

I've tried - once I select one of the options, the page asks for my current Three number to check eligibility. I don't have a Three PAYG SIM anymore, so if anyone who has one would kindly check if they're eligible that'd be awesome!

SIM works abroad. 19GB allowance but tethering included. Just back from visiting a few European countries and got reliable fast data in 90% of the places I visited.

My street is 4.5mb, has no fibre and Openreach have no plans for it either. Had to run ethernet to every room of the house just so my son can play online and we can watch Netflix. Every single street surrounding me has either fibre or virgin or both, so it's not like we're rural.

I'll be getting something like this because Openreach are an absolute joke.

Maybe try a smart plug that you could set to power on and off over night (or twice a day if needed)

Openreach are finished next year once 5g becomes mainstream openreach had over 10 years to provide every household in the uk with 20mb.

And three is cheaper/better speeds too you get many benefit with three compared to BT they charge you a fortune for a bt engineer visit and bt email £7.50 charge cost hope they disappear next year into thin air.

The router automatically reboots everyday at 6am as an option in the settings so i don’t have to do anything anyway. But good idea if people get the b311 as I don’t think that does.
Excellent price this is great for students starting this September for uni avoiding using BT or Virgin for silly prices.

Fully agree with you not had a BT phone line installed since 2008.
I even ditched virgin media too sick to death of the price increases each year.
Asking us for £45 70mb with phone line
Now saving around £300+ each year on 3 home broadband.
Unfortunately 3 network is terrible network, I have managed to cancel my 12 months contract due to issue with network- never had 4G speed so complained and managed to cancel the contract as it’s not as described!

Vodafone much better network in my area as it’s faster and full 5 bars signal!
Thanks
Can we get b535 on paygo from three ?
Will this get upgraded to 5G do you think? Otherwise it’s a long contract to go through stuck on 4G. I’m currently on ex-Relish at 50-80Mbps at £15/month, and the service is good because Relish has almost no customers. But if significantly more speed is on offer for relatively little extra....
