I've been with these guys for almost 4 years and this is as good a deal you will ever find. Faultless service, and the price won't change. If you prefer you can pay for a year in one lump for $40. SSL encryption. 50 connections. Unlimited usage. If you don't know what this is for, you don't need it lol.

What is this

1st rule of fight club............
several years ago I purchased a block account from a usenet provider who shall remain nameless. I noticed they had put an expiry date on even though it was a block account. When they "corrected it" and removed the expiry date, they also accidentally changed it to standard rolling monthly unlimited account. I've hammered it ever since without paying a penny.

What readers do you guys use? Can you suggest a configuration?

SABnzbd all day every day for me. It's free and works on all platforms.

Great find. Always used Newsdeamon, but this is a superb price for 50 connections and unlimited.

Nice find.

What's their takedowns like ?....I'm looking for a block account to replace Cheapnews. I see they do Paypal..
Same wherever you go I'm afraid. Just be quick with your RSS feeds !
Decent price. I'm paying £21 for the year speed limited to 1.1mb
Ug. I'm on 300 meg here in Spain and get a regular 31.2 Mb.
Per second that is.
£2.92 at current rate. Just signed up. Cheers again. Cheaper than paying £18 a quarter for Newsdeamon.

Beat me to it.
ZOMG ILLEGAL!!!!1111ONEONEONEELEVEN
I still use Easynews, but only out of loyalty because I can't bear to leave after this long:

"You have been signed-up continuously since Mon Jul 26 12:07:26 MST 2004 (13.51538813 years)."

Great price though, heat added.
$1 cheaper than frugal (who I'm very happy with). Good find.
Thanks, just ditched my £4.44 a month unlimited newsdemon for this deal, can anyone recommend a good nzb search group? I use binsearch at the moment but I reckon there is better out there

not, newgroups are uber old and have many uses.

Virgin media has a free one, poo retention, but free.

Virgin one meets most of my needs, and I top off with a couple of different free services.
Well I've gone from 'wtf is this' to "I'm in". Ta.

Takedowns are terrible, unless you get something within 5 hours of it releasing you're better off elsewhere!
Good deal, but I saw a suggestion elsewhere that this potentially uses the same backend as Thundernews? Does anyone know for sure?

I've been with TN for a while now and been pretty happy with them, but this is just under half the price, so if it's exactly the same...

Im currently with Eweka and pay around £7 per month for unlimited. I have tried many over the years, at first used to with Astra then that went downhill big time.
Anyhow for this price, I will defo give them a try!

Thanks Op
Currently on Usenetserver with 20 connections and unlimited downloads. Its around 8/month but think I'll stay with. All this talk of takedowns and stuff within 5 hrs is ridiculous. I rarely have issues with usenetserver.
Hot. Will sign up! Thanks
Not even sure who I'm with, set it up years ago and not had to touch sabnzb since! Will investigate...

I've been using Tweaknews for a few years and they're been very good for resisting takedowns. I'm barely using it these days so looking for something cheaper but would need to be as good as them.
What is the maximum speed too?
Shhhhh. Less attention usenet gets the better.

Same here. Interested to hear other peoples 'genuine' experiences before shifting.

Sounds like some 'boys club'.

Seems like a good deal, i'm currently with giganews, am wondering if it's worth the change, but unsure what this other one is like...?

Haha I know that feeling. I had reason to contact eBay about something a little while ago and the person I spoke to had never spoken to someone whose account originated in 1999.
been with tweaknews.eu/en/…ans for ages
pretty cheap, good retention and take-downs seem minimal
