Click me.

You need to fix the link. Also I couldn't find the free domain offer on their frontpage.

Ah hosting only no domain. Sorry

I'd watch it with these "pay for a year" deals. Just before Xmas I signed up with a company for a year, and by February the company was no more. Good job I wasn't hosting anything other than autoblogs there.

Russell

That's a very good price - places normally charge that per month!

(c) 2011 is worrying.

The name is very similar to the more established zymic's. Passing off perhaps?

Also, if the unlimited isn't what it says, the details of what it really is are very well hidden, as in invisible.

try fasthostingdirect.co.uk
£20 for two yrs including a yrs domain! Been with them for around a yr now.. no Issues at all. Also moved my second website from LCN (originally went on LCN on one of these 1yr hosting plans), so now have 2 websites hosted on Fasthosting for £19.99 for two yrs!!
stellar

Hmmm, there doesn't appear to be any history of them from earlier than the beginning of the year and the address appears to be a unit in a self-storage facility. But for £5 even if they only last a few months, that's still a cheaper rate than most other hosting outfits

But what hassle if you are running a popular site, down time every couple of months as you move to the next cheap hosting provider.

Hi

For hosting, why not try Vidahost, which is based in Bath and charge ..

Basic package £17 / year (+VAT)

Next package £29 / year or £58 for 3 years (+VAT)

You can get a free domain too with most packages.

I have a few sites with them, using the 2nd level package and have had great service. If you want a direct link PM me

Took a chance and paid £14.85 for 3 years hosting.

Is it any good? e.g. speed, setup and anything else you need to say.

Account was setup 5 minutes after I paid, speed is on par with other "budget" hosts, and I'm happy so far!!

Russell

Looks good.
Just signed up for 3 yrears, less tha 15 quid

Its Paypal, and I paid paypal wiyh credit card, so if it goes down can claim back cash?
You get 6 months hosting for referrals,
all we need now is quidco/TCB

good deals

Good deal unfortunately for me, it wouldn't accept my debit card.

There is no such thing as "unlimited" when it comes to web hosting. Try use it as a file repository and have millions of people download files from it and see what happens.

That said I might give this a go as I am on the lookout for a host. Will have to remember to run regular backups as my last host disappeared taking my site with it.

Just signed up and impressed with what I have seen so far - although my DNS nameserver settings are yet to resolve.

One feature it does not have, that I like to use, is box trapper. Box trapper pretty much eliminates spam - really useful when using email out and about..

Slowed to a crawl for a few hours around 9am Sunday morning. Otherwise the speed seems acceptable, certainly for the price.

Working here 9.56am

Currently working on my drupal site on the hosting.

Hi, I am thinking of starting a site to hold information for me to retrieve (possibly with a database) - initially it will be just me looking at it (maybe a few friends/family/work colleagues), so this 1 or 3 year deal seems good. Can I ask a few questions - if I sign up & don't have a domain, can I still access it via a hideously long url (e.g. www.server99.zyma.com/user22334456)? If not, if I need a domain, I would like one that I can keep (if my site ever takes off) - I seem to be reading advice to keep the domain elsewhere - is this best, where is cheap, but with the possibility (without huge fees) to transfer it (if I do use it & find a better deal or they go bust) or sell it on (if I don't use it)? Thanks in advance.

I am getting the impression that web hosting is about as hotly debated as antivirus software, so any advice or confirmation of what others say would be appreciated!

EDIT: After further research, I have decided to go with willdashwood's suggestion in this post: hotukdeals.com/dea…062 and I have gone with 1&1 as a domain registrar (£6 inc vat for 2 years, hopefully £2 topcashback). Woohoo! Now just to decide on a back end (hopefully before the registration completes)!

I am looking for a reliable host with 500gb traffic a month without downtime or speed problems, multiple websites, sub-domains and 10gb space any pointers?
UK or abroad not fussed.

I know this has expired BUT just incase anyone is looking to buy hosting with them: DON'T!

3 days ago one of their servers has gone down, and its still down. No one is answering their support phoneline and their sales phone line is no longer accepting calls! And my support tickets are unanswered.

I had worried their deals were Too Good to be True, and I guess they were

Zyma are being really a**ey about issuing refunds. I beleive they are advertising falsely by offering 99.9% uptime as the panda server was down for 10 days! They wont give me a refund so I need to persue it further, but the Office of Fair Trading wont do anything for individuals, so I need everyone affected by these to join me so we can get our money back! PM me if you've been affected

I had been looking at web hosting companies for a while, I finally decided to go with Zyma, they have helped me a lot with my questions and I have found them to be the best web hosting company so far.

For anyone who comes across this using the search feature here.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I've had nothing but problems since the start I regret signing up for 2 years.
I just use this webhost as a dumping around when I need to take files to uni etc as I hate carrying memory sticks.
