This worked on my iPad!

Change Your Location:
Remove website blocks by appearing where you want for selected sites.
Join the free beta.

How Does It Work?

Unlocator hides your location from certain geographic location services used by ad networks and other services to track your location. By using Unlocator you can protect your privacy by appearing to be located in one of our supported regions.

Simply change to our DNS and you can alter your location as needed. You can change the DNS on most devices to use our service.

I'll just watch as much American content as I can on my ipad for now. I won't pay for it not while Hola.org is working on a free app (eventually).
I use Hola on my desktop, it does a good job.

Happy it helps antdav
Enjoy the Beta while it lasts...
Do you think it might be something worth paying for?
(I hate paying for anything, lol)

It really depends on the price, anything more than a couple of £ per month and it will drive people away.
I guess we had better make the most of it while we can and hope it doesn't cost too much when the Beta ends.

works great on my HTC one but not on my iPhone 5S running 7.0.4

How much does Unlocator Cost to use?

At the moment we are in the BETA stage of the product, and the service is FREE to use. Once we leave the beta, the Unlocator service will cost $4.95 pr. month. (27 DKK pr. måned)

Techno noob alert
You can now go watch American Netflix but you need a netflix subscription, I would assume like the other location hiders you can watch hulu and the like as well(you need to go the the website in question, they wouldn't be on the unlocator website)

From what I've seen so far I would be more than happy to pay circa £3 per month.

Not just free trials. Basically if the service you want use is for the US only (Hulu) or in the case of Netflix has different content in the US than the UK site, then this will allow your connection to 'appear' as if you were in the US.

I'm having issues with the setup. It seems that when I use wifi, I get the 3 green ticks (everything ok) but if I disconnect wifi and use data/3G, I get an error message saying DNS not set up correctly. Any suggestions?

But this is in in Beta and they admit they will charge, Hola is free??

Thanks op

Do I have to open a new netflix US account or just enter my existing UK sign in? Sorry if a silly question!

You can use your existing Netflix login. If you were to travel to the US with your iPad etc and had Netflix installed, the app will automatically switch to the American site content

Works well on Apple TV, heat added!

Can Netflix UK ban you if you manage to view US content in the UK with your existing sign in? I am a relatively new member and don't really want to risk being banned using this method. Thanks.

Why would anyone pay for this when Hola and Mediahint offer the same service for free?

You are the God himself! Thank you O'Lord for Netflix USA on PS3!:3

No they won't ban you. I've been switching between the US and UK Netflix for about 2 years via my VPN service and I've never had a problem. I also share my account with my sister.

It works!!! Thank you x

been using this for a while, great app but after the beta trial it will be a paid service, one problem I found with it though is when I changed the DNS on my asus router it didn't work and unlock of clients connected to my network. No idea if it is the service or the rt56u. But when using on each device it works great.

how do you share accounts? My sister in law share mine and when I log in I can see the rubbish she has been watching, is there anyway to stop that?

To share accounts, just do what ever it is you're doing to share accounts with your sister in law (?)

Sharing Netflix? Go to the Netflix website and set up some profiles.
Another option instead of unlocator is tunlr.net, soon to be subscription based but about $12/ year iirc.

thats coz IPhone have way too many restrictions on thier software. You cant even watch certain videos online with apple products because they don't support some video formats! Android on the other hand can play any video from any site.

does this dns service work on apple products?
ive tried a few ( free ones) and overplay gave me a free two week trial, but none of them would work on my ipad. i think it may be a problem with my isp.
i use a vpn and can access worldwide content no problem.

Well unless I'm mistaken they only work on the pc(and maybe mac, no idea as I don't have a mac) but not on smartphones, tablets, iPhones and iPads, this according to the description works on 'everything'.

Cool, works on my galaxy. Thanks op

Yep, you're mistaken. Hola works fine on my android phone and Nexus 7 tablet.

If I was abroad would I be able to use this to watch BBC iPlayer?

How can you check to see if you are actual on the American Neflix ? - Is there a film which is only available on the American Netflix but not in the UK ? - Thks in advance

Fair enough, doesn't support iPhone and iPad tho. But mediahint only does PC/mac.
