Sure you did and whether the notch bothers you or not is irrelevant to what you originally replyed to me

garbage456

How do you know what I paid for g6 and I what I sold it for. But for the record I bought for 326 sold it for 240. 10 months later. 86 pounds over 10 months is 8.60 a month. I am going to say it one more time and not reply anymore. My original point being the notch doesn't bother me.

smg1984

Nothing you have listed requires a Flagship phone, The LG G6 lost more than 50% of its original value in a year i doubt the G7 will do much better so your actually going to buy a £600 phone and sell it for £250/300 in a years time. I am not telling you what phone to buy, The original point being the notch is unnecessary.

garbage456

gumtree shpock, banking apps, music apps, camera, ebay, facebook, gas utuility apps. games, i have been doing this for last 3 years now, buy a phone for 500 to 600, keep for a year sell for around 400-500 phone has cost me effective #8 a month over a year. that is why I buy top end phones. not sure why you telling me to buy a cheaper phone. my initial point being the notch doesnt bother me.

Is the difference between 720p and 1080p really noticeable at this screen size or is it no big deal? Thanks.

The G6 Play is better in most respects. The SD425 in the E5 Plus is very basic and not suited to anything other than simple tasks.

jazzuk777

I had assumed the G6 Play at a similar price ought to be better, it actually doesn't look that straightforward... Scroll down for specs comparison https://www.cnet.com/news/moto-g6-vs-g6-play-e5-plus-e5-play-whats-the-difference/

Yes, because only the brave can put up with the 'notch', right? :D

Naith

So you can replace the notch with a nice, big black border?

Thanks. That's better none f these people last time it was an issue it was with g4. I have g6 and g5 right now. G5 speakers are one the best even after owning ZTE axon 7.

Best deal for a UK Model I've seen. I'd be tempted myself if I could find a UK model (and warranty) for sub £400. Far East imports are great and everything, but I can't risk the returns (basically non existent) policy. Heat for deal. (y)

pankomputerek

Because people don't know differences between the models... I'm considering spending £80 premium atm for this model as it's rootable...

pankomputerek

This was for HDS version which doesn't have Micro SD slow AND is not Rootable also give me a time machine please.

jrandrews72

Why the low votes? This is for a UK one with the import duty paid not from a dodgy chinese site.

Crossbow

Been spoilt by the spate of excellent, recent G6 EGC deals (whoever paid / pays with a credit card should be fine warranty-wise), hence the cold voting I reckon. Lowest was £306 at one point: LG G6 H870DS 64GB Dual sim SIM FREE/ UNLOCKED - White £305.99 @ eglobal & was for the enhanced version with 64Gb storage, dual-SIM & quad-DAC.

jnm21

Looking at the A9 Pro, it does not have LTE band 20 (800Mhz) - is that correct & how have you found it?

xanimeguyx

X performance is flagship... X is their standard top end model, gold standard if you will and xa/xa ultra is superr mid randge..this is the best to go for if you want Sony RN.

Jimbo123

I agree I think the major companies really mishandled things by locking down the boot loaders and invalidating warranties , just killed the enthusiast tech crowd that was creating all the excitement about smartphones. And then Google removing Sd card usability, without any warning . If you betray your customers they remember simple as that.

tmohammad

Totally agree... Sony are very bad at keeping their customers informed and supported. I have a Z3 Compact Phone which was one of the last ones of the big players to get Lollipop in the UK and its looking like we will be the last to get Marshmallow. Its annoying to keep waiting and waiting... To annoy users in the UK who have SIM free phones (ie not tied to any particular network) Sony make them the last to get the update. Vodafone, O2, EE, 3 have already given their customers the update.. And I thought the unbranded ones get them first. Frustrating and annoying! The worse thing is that no one even tells the customers... Their response is "How longs a piece of string??? You'll get it when we feel like and we don't know when we will feel like rolling it out!!" What a pathetic way to treat customers. Shame on you Sony!

Hi Everyone, Can anyone who has received an S7 Edge from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk on Vodafone contract confirm if the handsets are GSM unlocked or locked to the network please? I contacted mobilephonesdirect and they said they would be locked, but I would like confirmation from a user. Many thanks!

King.Mustard

You got a free Gear VR if you pre-ordered the S7/S7 Edge from Carphone Warehouse. Selling the Gear VR would have dropped the overall price of the phone. Since the phones have now been released, the best S7 (non Edge) prices are £540 (MobilePhonesDirect) and £560 (Amazon). I'll wait for it to drop below £500.

ukscoob1

or just sell it before S6 price plummets & buy an S7 Edge? or even buy a cheap S5 and get an S7 Edge once the price drops 2 months after launch. you dont have to stick to a phone if you dont like it.

FleetFanatic

Launch day for us pre-order people was yesterday. I received mine by courier delivery yesterday. Yes, I know launch day is the 11th, but Samsung promised them to everybody who pre-ordered early :)

zaphod

Bear in mind that the UK is getting the slightly slower Exynos 8890-based model and not the faster Snapdragon 820 version. Probably won't make much difference to real world usage, but might influence some people's decision - particularly gamers. Linky

I don't find android sexy or Smooth lol. Can you or anyone tell me about your experience with Windows please

deleted494932

Yes, they do look pretty nice....but just keep in mind that the quality will drop off quickly indoors. The 735 has an F1.9 aperture lens, which makes it exceptionally good at indoor photos (or low light photos)... You'll certainly be getting an upgrade over the Moto E - but if you really want some quality photos, the 735 is a great place to start :)

biggysilly

Eadfrith

The samples on that site I looked at look fairly decent, especially for it's price range. Vastly superior to my Moto E anyway!

deleted494932

I wouldn't expect the 535 to have an excellent camera given its price point. However, it does have a flash, and does have autofocus....and does benefit from the full Lumia Camera experience (manual controls etc). It'll be better than the Moto E/G, but then again, most phones have better cameras than those two! (Personally, I'd wait for a Lumia 735 deal. 1080p stereo video recording, Snapdragon 400 processor, 720p display, bigger battery...optional wireless charging. Was available for £129.99 from O2 with a free speaker and wireless charging pad. Not sure if that deal is still on - but you can definitely pick them up with free Fitbit Flex's)

I ran two personal phones for over ten years, one on Android and one on windows phone. I tried several makes and models. Until 9 months ago, the Android OS was slightly my favourite, but with Windows 8 and then 8.1, I switched camps. If you care to look at the OS now, it has the notifications bar and pretty much all of the apps you could ever realistically want (major improvement recently). I finally plumped for this OS. I also decided to choose a 'Phablet' that would take the place and the duties of both a tablet and a phone - in one unit. Therefore, the Nokia Lumia was my obvious choice. It is fast, durable and well designed, with a battery life to die for. I was a little nervous at first, as it appears big, but a slim and smart case gave more grip and now I cannot fault the Lumia. I paid £300 from CEX, but I have more recently seen them for arouns £350 new. At this price, with the superb spec, it is a bargain. No, it doesn't have Samsung's own added software, but it does come with Here+ Maps and Drive (superb!) and MS Office as standard (Priceless for documents), so do please give it a close look. PS I am not a Nokia or MS employee, merely so please to have only one item to carry not two or three!!

Samsung note 4 £279 from my local wholesaler

leo0108uk

I had cracked Note 2's screen before, had it repaired under warranty for free without any questions asked. The boost usually starts every 3months when statement comes out I think. The best way to do it is, convert your top cash back money to Clubcard points, maximum 50 pound I believe, then save all the points until November/Xmas boost, without the boost I wouldn't be buying the phone as Tesco's price isn't attractive. Anyway, let's see what Samsung will bring next, if it's a better Note 5, I will definitely be buying.

as far as I'm aware, there is no import taxes for items moving within the EU. The bigger problem is the cost of shipping, whether the phone is going to be any different to a UK version (e.g. is it going to work on all UK 4g bands), and the pain of having to send it back to germany if it develops any faults during the warranty period.

mcderment

would you need to pay any import taxes if you bought it from Amazon.de?

SilverBlack

They said at launch it would be for the Korean market. You can still get it on Amazon. De. http://www.amazon.de/LG-Smartphone-Quad-HD-IPS-Display-2-5-GHz-Quad-Core-Prozessor-13-Megapixel-Kamera/dp/B00KKM2UZG/ref=sr_1_2?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1401394413&sr=1-2&keywords=LG+G3+32gb
