Unltd min and txt with 8 gb data for £13/month on 30 days contract, Retention deal @ Three

I am not looking for heat for this deal. Iam more looking for opinions. After I was booted out of the one plan last year, Three put me on unltd min and txt and 4gb data for £12/month on a 12 months contract. That contract is ending in two weeks and I called them today for PAC code. Their best offer was unltd min and txt and 8gb data for £13 on 30 days contract. I said I am happy to have a 12 months commitment if they bring the rent down but they said no. What do people think of this deal?

As an existing customer they gave me this for £10 on a 12 month contract

I went for the EE sim only deal which was unlimited minutes & texts + 12gb data for £20 per month. I called through to o2 for the PAC code and they offered me unlimited minutes and texts + 20gb data for £20 per month. So I'd shop around if I were you ...

I m on same deal same price over a year. these days they dont have good retaintion deals compair to there compatiters.

I went with the virgin deal solely because I feel the signal could be better with three and at £15 per month for 5000 minutes unlimited text and 20gb of data I reckon it's a bit of a bargain

Had the same for £11 on a 30 day contract. Ditched them for the Virgin £15 20GB a month. Will never need that amount of data and minutes though. Virgin speed is way way faster than 3 in my area

thanks guys... actually although the contract is in my name, it is used by my wife who never uses more than 2gb per month...I asked them to keep me on same tarrif and drop the cost to £8 as some people had that but they refused

I got the same deal as an existing customer for £9 per month but a 12 month contract. Ends in september.

Exactly the same situation as me OP.
I was happy with the deal unlimited txt and calls with 8gb data on 30-day contact with feel at home for £13pm but it's up to you.

you mean the deal with 8gb for £9?

£12 unlimited everything on Virgin. Disappointed as been paying £8pm for last 4 years but they've finally ended the £4pm discount & increased to £12pm.
Never had an issue with coverage or customer service.
I see no need to switch, but this deserves a hot vote from me

There is no such deal on virgin website. For £12 you will get 2500 min and 4gb data !!

I got £8pm over 4 years ago with a £4 discount & Virgin recently upped it to £12pm after ending my discount

they should give a bit less as this s normal offer for new customers so they can claim cashback on top if there is any at the moment via some other sites

Ask for your PAC. They might realise you are going to walk and offer you a better deal. You don't have to use the code but if they don't give you a deal you can go elsewhere within 30 days iirc

I've got 3 SIM only deals coming up for renewal and will be playing hardball for this many contracts.

There's a lot of good deals about and really what works for you...
I went for Three's 600 mins, 30GB deal for £18 a month. I don't need that much data, but 8GB is a little tight for me and just love not having to worry how much data I use.
All of Three's plans are 12 month contracts, Virgin have one with unlimited mins and 20GB data for £15 month and is a rolling 30 day plan, which might be a decider.
But for me it was Three as can use "Feel at Home" for roaming in numerous countries for free.
I wasn't expecting Three's 4G coverage to be very good, but it's great and get speeds of 50-60 mb/ps. Also 3G speeds are 15-18MB.
Virgin don't allow tethering where Three do.
Several things to consider.

Just to add, I was offered this deal; however no tethering on this plan!

Its a 30 day term, take it if EE signal & (Uswitch exclusive) Plusnet 2000min Unlimited txt 2GB - £7.50 or Virgin's unlimited's & 20GB - £15 is not suitable, then when some better plan fits, PAC request & bye 3.
