My Bit
- I bought mine today, I reckon any first-person shooter fan will love this, but make sure your pc can handle it. Please dont vote cold if you dont have a pc
- Constructive Criticism Welcome As Its My First Post
- You also have the option of purchasing the standard unreal 3 rather than the collector edition, but I dont know why you would want to do that as you receive a cool box and info with the collectors. Both same price.

That's a great find for the collectors edition. I paid £15.49 or thereabouts for the standard version when I preordered it way back in Oct 2006

Despite the system requirements I'm getting excellent performance playing this on my laptop on max graphics at 1280x800. Spec: CoreDuo 1.66ghz, 2gb RAM, dedicated 256mb X1600 (latest Catalyst 8.1 drivers).

Pcworld will price match this & give you 10% of the difference too, so it's worth checking stores to see if any have the collectors ed. in stock, you could get it for ~£15 !!

Mad game. Played it several years ago, not this version, and its just kill kill kill

Picked up a copy i PCworld. they pricematched play and I got it for £16.29
Sweet.

Ordered this, it's a great price. Thanks.

Thanks for this.

Great price for a great game.

Heat added.

£17.10 with student discount  Really tempted to order this . Will I get more out of this game than Enemy Territory Quake Wars?

I have. Although I've also been making mods for it...

BTW is Enemy Territory good comapred to Wolfenstein Enemy Territory gameplay?

Unreal is a really cool game, ut2004 (the previous version) takes some beating

Unreal 3, needs a very high spec system to run smoothly, the minimum spec they quote will barely run

voted hot - good price

darn, my Nvidia is 6150, and minimum says 6200 - any chances it might still work?? because i loved unreal tournament 1

I highly doubt it would work as the minimum specs they make are already at the bare minimum to try and fool people into thinking their card will fun it fine and go buy the game.

Ditto! However, the scruffneck customer services assistants might not price match - if this is the case point them to their Point of Sale adverts, as the assistant at one PCWorld store wasn't aware of the price match policy and also said that they didn't have to price match! The item I tried price matching with was £4 dearer at PCW. If they still refuse track down the Store Manager, and in my case he was sorry about the misunderstanding and gave me the price match plus 20%.

No it would not run well, if at all

If you liked UT1, try UT2004 - you will love it  there are loads of games online.
your card will run that no problem, its around £8 - £10 new
with traders on ebay

Bought! Thanks

Question for the system builders out there.

My comp was built a year ago, AMD 64x2 (can't remember the exact specs), Inno3d Nvidia 7600GT, 2GB RAM, if i just upgrade the graphics card will I prolong the game playing life of the machine, or will it need new processor, motherboard etc to continue with the top end games. It just about handles UT3, but I'm starting to get slow down, whereas a year ago it handled the top games on the max settings.

Yes you could inject a fair bit of gaming life into your PC.

Flog your 7600GT on ebay & I would recommend getting a X1950xt or a 7950GT both of which you should be able to pick up for under £80 on ebay.

These are the last of the DX9 cards and offer a huge amount of bang for buck.

As it happens I'm just about to list an X1950xt on ebay tonight.....

Toms Hardware Charts for Graphics Cards can give you a rough indication of what kind of performance increase you can expect (although the rest of your system obviously plays a part.

X1950XT and the 7600GT are both highlighted in blue.

Orders currently at processing , was at packing stage yesterday . Taking there time :x

Arrived today  Didn't know play.com had a warehouse on the mainland .

Yea, I have to have an argument every time I pricematch there. Picked up Half-life 2(orange box) for 15.29 today (pricematched from the asda deal) i had to argue to get it tho. The staff are either purposfly arkward, or havn't been given training. I ended up speaking to the manager, who was in the middle of telling me that they didn't pricematch the asda website, when I pointed at the poster behind him which clearly had 'websites include argos,asda,..' .
I think we should start a thread to find the biggest price difference between pcworld and all the sites they pricematch, just to **** them off
