I’ve got a smaller one (2 burner) and it is pretty sturdy to be honest. It’s not a charcoal but very easy to use.
I looked up the definition. Apparently gas BBQ's do indeed fit the definition. Cooked out doors over fire - no mention of the fuel. Is that what you meant?
