Seems very good to me considering this beats RM prices too. Booking must be done for myherms and for 13p you can now add protection for up to £20 worth to your parcels which weight up to 1kg.

Many customers asked us to reintroduce a low-priced 1 kg service that includes protection. So we’re delighted to announce the launch of a 1 kg myHermes service with inclusive £20 protection for only £2.29 plus VAT.
Parcel protection for 13p
Our new myHermes pricing means that by booking through Parcel2Go, you can now get parcel protection up to the value of £20 for only 13p. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Royal mail 2nd class = £2.80
Hermes (new insured service) = £2.29
Difference = 18% less
However, they are idiot enough to compare the VAT included price to their VAT excluded price. In fact their final price is £2.75 which is 5p less than RM. HOWEVER, many people are still able to use the code they offer for free postage which is an advantage over RM. Not to mention many including myself have a parcel shop nearer than a RM office.
Yeah, but it's £2.75 with VAT. To the average Joe, that's just 5p, which isn't 18%.
Edit: Obviously I'm agreeing with what you just said above, just found their comparison weird
You just quoted two sentences of my full reply to you, right? Did you read the rest? I said the same thing!
Edit: thanks for your edit. I am sure you read the rest too now, lol.
Quoted half now. I was in the process of an edit.
You'll be compensated by p2g not Hermes.
p2g customer service terrible when making a claim . beware
Ive claimed long time ago before they remove the instance and it was very straight forward. Not sure how bad they're now.
Very bad if not downright false advertising
When I sell stuffs on eBay and send via Hermes, the item always gets there within 2 days, as long as I drop off at the parcel shop before 5pm.
not at the moment
