Up to £215 cashback for Canon Cameras/Lenses/Video Cams @ Canon

Just in case you didn't know, canon is running a cashback promotion up until the 17th. I submitted a cashback form and got an email 2 hours later saying it was accepted. Pretty fast if you do not want to wait for the canon delivery and use another website such as amazon.

Plus you can order two of the same item and cashback either one.

Thanks for the reminder, I thought it ended later than the 17th. Bought an f2.8 24-70 II a couple of weeks ago with cashback of £215.00 but forgot to claim it...
Just put the claim in now

Canon cashback is always a fast process. I wanted to buy the 70 - 200 one from amazon but they increased the price by more than 200 by the time I decided to pull the trigger. It is strange, they used to be around £1400 about 2 years ago, now the price is in the £1800 range.
The 28 -70 f2.8 II can be bought form Amazon for £1,684.00 and the cashback would bring the price down to £1,469.
I bought the flashgun 600 ex rt II for £439 (from amazon) filled in the cashback form, got a confirmation email and had £100 in my account within one week.

Do you have to pay income tax on the £215?

I am now on a hunt for a 80d....at a good price.
thanks for making me spend

No, it's not income.

lol, spend nearly £2000 on a camera to get the max cashback, I know this is high end gear but this is nothing other than a marketing ploy to get us to spend way over the odds for something that doesn't really outperform a camera in the £300 - £500 price range

Then why didn’t you just buy a £300-£500 camera?

A camera is a computer...

This is not a computer deal. Voted cold.

Not a marketing ploy, more an incentive. I purchased a lens (£1699.00) without even knowing the cashback deal was on and if you think that a high end camera " doesn't really outperform a camera in the £300 - £500 price range" then you are a moron...
