Up to 30% discount on PlayStation store from email using code reader!

Posted 12th Dec 2019

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

So this is will take a little explaining but everyone who had signed up for promotional emails for your PlayStation account should have received an email on the 3rd of December for a Festive theme code and also the possibility of a discount code for the store yet for a lot people this discount code is not showing.
There are 2 possible ways of doing this either download the email as a .Eml file and open up that file in a chrome browser or view your email in desktop if using mobile and click on show original which should bring up a page of random code, copy the big block of code onto Base64decode.org and click decode and read through to see if you've actually been given a discount.

I never had any discount codes in my original email but using this method it showed 3 separate codes for 20 and 30% off.
All expire on the 19th.

This had been posted previously but if you never went through all the comments you could have easily missed this.

For mobile make sure you are viewing the desktop version, it should give you the option at the bottom of the page then I think its next to the reply option you can click a drop down to show the option to view original it should then open a new page with a lot of random letters and numbers. You want to copy the big block of text which is a little further down and paste it to the site I linked and you can read the text that isn't showing in the email.
For whatever reason it had 3 separate discount codes on mine.
I hope that helps a little I know it does come across rather complicated but I'd never done it before and managed to figure it out this morning

Well it was posted that you might have a discount code in your email but it was only in the comments people realised that the codes may not be showing up and how to view it.
I seen the post this morning and checked thinking I never got one until I read through all the comments which is easily missed.
Voted hot for me. Hadn't seen this posted before and just found it. Had a 10% code in the email. Thought I'd check it out anyway and found 3 codes in there. Thank you for the heads up

Sorry it could be different using Outlook, I'm using gmail.
You need to be looking at your emails through the browser, have it set to desktop and hopefully you'll have an option perhaps from that little icon in the top right that says to view original or show original?

If not hopefully someone else using outlook could help.

To view the full source behind an email in Outlook.com:
Select or open the email.Select More actions (the 3 horizontal dots).Select View message source.View and scroll through the contents. When done, select Close.I think that might be it.

Ah ok I just forwarded the email to my gmail account but when I copy the text into the website it just comes up with gibberish lol any idea what source charset you used or if it even matters?

Im not sure on any of it really all I know is that when looking at the code you only want to copy and paste from that big block of unbroken code and it should read it.
I know I tried copying the whole text and it did the same as yours.
Thanks OP, just realised I had a few codes after all when I thought I had none. Now what to get...
Can't figure out the decoding bit
Hottt.... Wish i found out about this sooner thanks so much and merry xmas

Sorry meant to clarify I already had this code in the original email. 10%

Hmm I wonder then if people who were able to see their code in the original email won't have any others hidden away.
Shame if it is.
That actually works. Thanks OP, the message says "save 0" but I do have 2 codes listed, the 3rd one just states none available. I'll give it a try later and see if the codes work/how much discount there is.
i still only had the one code for the theme

If you copy the first bit of text that is connected together that pops up underneath basecode64 text or something like that and copy it, it should decode that into legible english words. Don’t copy the rest or it won’t work.

I'll message you a 20% off code.
nothing in my email resembles a code so i dont get how you are finding 3
Tried lots of blocks of code and all gibberish. Can you be a bit more specific like what is the first line of this code so I know what to look for?
To clarify it to everyone you will need to copy only the text which is structured like a one big block of writing. Anything before that isnt meant to be copied. Once you've done it correctly and converted you should see the codes at the top of the page

I've got my 10% code in the email but managed to get all 3 codes when using the method. Takes some digging but mine were there. Doesn't specify that they're 10, 20 and 30 but they are. Just deciding what to buy. No Man's Sky is a definite, just not sure about others. Decisions decisions

No mans sky's a great game, I bought it after the first big update and loved it.
Luckily I had £90 credit and bought 330 pounds worth of games with it this morning and the credit only cost me 60 on eBay
I’ve been signed up to their emails since around 2010 onwards, never once got any discount
Mine was like this for all 3

"Just use your personal code None Available at the checkout. Valid until 19/12/2019 23:59 GMT"

Someone mentioned changing your email address. I think there's a way of altering it aswell by adding a dot in the middle before the @ and have it still go to your original email and you should start getting them. It does seem to solve it.
Does anyone know whether signing up for communications now will get you an email from PlayStation? Have had another account for a while but never got any emails and it might be because of that. Hoping to get another festive email from them.

Only future emails that they send. Possible they could send out another email seen as though there was an issue with these discount codes.
I've got another UK account that got this email I'll have a look later to see if has any codes and I'll send you one, they could be tied to the account though I'm not sure.

Ah no that’s fine mate. I did manage to get some codes. I was just looking to get some more. I appreciate it though. I’d save the extra codes for people that actually didn’t get any.
I've just checked my other account email and that had 3 hidden codes yet somehow the first came up as already been used which is strange.
7EF5M7LDD2 - 10% OFF
CBH52743PE - 10% OFF
2KAD6BAQ94 - Already used?
It seems you can use these on accounts other than what it was sent to.
No luck. Decoded the base64 code from my outlook. Only the theme shows.

Also forwarded the email to gmail and still no luck.

Doing it on my laptop
Worked for me using g-mail and Firefox browser on my laptop.

Many thanks. 30% off, not sure about the other 2 codes yet
Would appreciate a spare 20%/30% code if any1 has a spare one in their email, No luck here, just the theme.
