Funny old pricing structure with the 9 and 9t Pro!
Can anyone indicate the typical import cost, tax etc for these model phones from like the likes of Aliexpress, Gearbest etc at their current rates for these please?

If you are lucky there is no import costs, if you are not lucky enough I think you need to pay 20% tax.
I'm going for the 9t pro from Amazon for £355 no risk of import charges only downside is it's 64gb version from Amazon then selves

No worries, saw that ta. Just trying to establish the rough saving figure of going thru the imports route instead??

You can get the same 128gb version of mi 9 from aliexpress for $370

I really don't see how 349 pounds is really a deal here. Even with the VAT it will be slightly cheaper

That's the gamble isn't it... No vat = bargain, but if you pay vat it's only "slightly cheaper" for no warranty, and a nightmare if things go wrong.... You win some, you lose some...

Excellent price for 128gb Mi 9 - if it doesn't get stolen during delivery. I am still waiting for a refund on a Mi 8 Lite that was stolen on the delivery journey.
I think the 9t pro is out of stock as I can't select colour

Do it via the app?
It is using the app
It's fine with other phones so maybe out of stock or very busy
I was going to go for the 9t pro until the realme x2 pro was released. Hopefully some deals coming up.
All my offers are listed as "event coming". Have I misunderstood this deal?

Starts 22nd, the guy just asked why it wasn't working, and I didn't know the answer. You can check out on all items apart from the mi 9t pro atm.

Well, everyone's got the BF fever, so it makes sense for this to be Xiaomi's BF announcement offer that @MrSwitch somehow got wind of

That's a bonus then. Early BF deals from Xiaomi
Been looking at the Xiaomi phones for the last week or so. The redmi 7 came up as £99 when I went through to checkout but think I will wait for a good deal on the Mi 9 lite or Mi 8.
@MrSwitch How do you get the first use £5 off? available on iOs app too?

Whilst they ship from France, it's a pain in the neck when it goes wrong.

I ordered an MI8 in June and it never arrived. I've been chasing them ever since and still don't have a refund. They keep changing the refund process and the latest change requires me to go to a police station and report it stolen and give them a crime number. It's utterly ridiculous. £300 I'll almost never see again. i could kick myself for not buying it on a credit card.

I would never buy from them again. It might be their UK store but customer support is all in China and they are the most unhelpful team I've ever dealt with.

Ouch that sucks, I'll give it a think I do want the OnePlus over this but it's 200+ more
I'm interested in the camera.

The sensor set is interesting.

Its the low number of stock which is a little annoying.

I'd recommend doing that as I really like the AOD you get with the amoled screens (Xiaomi call it ambient display), plus the camera on those two options will be better than the redmi 7.

Thanks for the above . Would you still say that with the Note at £99 and the others at £200 plus.
Do they still do the annoying ads in the file manager and other apps? The phones are excellent value for money but it would be a shame to see ads crop up in a phone you paid more than £300 for!
