This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

***As per most recent comments below, this is still going, please can the thread be unexpired***

This is a somewhat known process to many HUKD members but I thought best to post to provide a full rundown so everyone can reap the benefits.

It does seem pretty long, especially for Android users, but I think it's worth it for 50% off any digital purchase on certain Stores.
If you're not too fussed spending an extra pound to save the hassle, following the iPhone method below.
If you want to pay the minimum following the Android method below.
Plus, you can reap the benefits from O2 Priority and O2 Rewards.

Method:

Click Get Deal to go to the O2 SIM order page, fill in your details and tick both boxes at the bottom. It'll usually take up to 3 working days for the SIM to get to you.
Note: Link goes to an order for one International SIM. T&C's state this offer should also work with Big Bundle SIMs too.

Best Method for iPhone users:
Top up your SIM with £11.00, text FREE10 to 21500 and use this to top up your SEN account with the full £20.00. The remaining 90p is yours to do as you wish

Android Users:
Put the SIM in your phone, boot up and call 4444 to top up £10.

Text FREE10 to 21500 and wait for the confirmation that the bonus credit has been applied. Takes up to 2 hours. Phone 4444 again to confirm this before moving on to the next step.

*** If you're using all the credit on Google Play the tutorial ends here, enjoy 50% off all purchases. If not, move on ***

Go to your SEN account online and select Add Funds to Wallet, Mobile Top Up, enter £15 and the O2 phone number. Reply Y to the text message to confirm, this message costs 10p out of your credit.

Youll be left with £4.90.

Go to Google Play and spend at least £4.40, best advised you add whatever you're buying to your Google Play Wishlist to find them again quicker.

Find an app or game, click Buy and then the Google Play Balance, check Other Payment Methods and select O2 Billing. It'll verify and then put you through to the payment window. Make sure where it says payment method it shows as O2 Billing.

You should now have 50p or less in credit. Again, this can be confirmed by calling 4444 or texting Balance to 20202.

You're now eligible to use O2's Lend Us a Quid service.

Call 4444 and select option 6, hit 1 to confirm. This will add £1 credit lent by O2.

Go back to Google Play and refund the apps or games purchased. You'll now have £5.90 credit.

Go back to your SEN Account as before and top up the remaining £5, confirm with a reply to the text and voila.

You've also got the 80p left from all that spare, so you can freely spend this in Google Play or use the credit on texts, calls or data.

Edit 1: Xbox Carrier Billing instructions. Unsure as to whether they will charge as the PlayStation service does.

xbox.com/en-GB/promotions/buy-game-credit

Edit 2: Some purchases from PSN will require the above to be done more than once.

I'll look to edit this as questions or new methods come in.

I feel like I need to add this: P-L-E-A-S-E do not overuse this method. They used to offer 20 quid instead of 10, until too many people abused it by ordering too many in too short a time period. A few a month is grand.

Just a heads up in case its useful
Now that you can add your number as a payment method, you can just make payments directly from there. So if you've got say £4 left on your SIM, you can buy something £4 or under from the PS store.

I was £2 short in my wallet for some games, added a SIM with some leftover credit as a payment method and it combined the wallet and SIM amount so I could purchase
Might be obvious but I didn't know!

Edit: 16/5/22 - Still working but PSN sometimes not processing payments - use your console instead (Settings - Users and Accounts - Account - Add Funds)

Getting £25 Credit for £10

Order a £30 / 100GB "Big Bundle" SIM. Be careful not to order any other SIM as that is the only one that works currently. You should get the SIM within a few days.

Before topping up, make sure the pack your SIM comes in has the FREE10 offer on the back and make sure mobile data is switched off on your phone.
You can top up by £10 via 4444 or online - once you have the £10 credit, you can then send "FREE10" via text to 21500.
Sometimes, a certain bank card will not work - try another, try a different method or wait a few days to try again. O2 online top-up will fail if you use auto-fill for your card details - make sure you type everything out manually.
You’ll have to wait for little while (can be up to 48 hours) and you might have to send the FREE10 message again for the bonus credit to be added (dial *#10# to check).

Register the SIM to get another bonus £5 credit - it can take up to 5 days to apply but is well worth doing.
You need to use a unique email address for each SIM - Open a page at fakemail.net and use the email address provided. Leave the page open, to monitor for the validation email (you need to click the link).

If you've done everything as above, you should have £25 credit

PSN

Log in to PSN on a desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc), click your avatar in the top right corner and choose "Account Settings". Click "Payment Method", click "Add Funds" and then "Add a Mobile Account".
Enter your mobile number and you should get a code sent to the phone - enter that code and click Verify.
Click "Add Funds", click the top option with your phone number and select the £20 option and click Continue.
Repeat the process with the £5 option once your bonus credit has been applied.

You can also top up directly from your PS5 - go to: Settings -> Users and Accounts -> Account -> Payment and Subscriptions
From there, you can choose Payment Methods to add/remove a SIM and Add Funds to top up.

PSN used to limit to the frequency that you can do this to 3 times a month but I'm not sure any more...
There is a ceiling of £140 on your PSN wallet though.

Microsoft Store

You can't top up your wallet directly on the MS Store - you can only use your credit to buy items so you should plan your top-up around the price of the item. If you go over £29 credit on the 20GB SIM, it will convert into a monthly bundle so the maximum you should top up is £14 (possible via 4444).

It is possible to pay for XBox games through the Console, via the website or via the app:
With the O2 SIM inserted in your phone, open the XBox app, open the Microsoft Store, click "Buy" on the item you want and change the payment method.
Add a payment method and choose mobile phone. Choose O2 as the operator and enter your O2 number. The O2 payment method will stay active for subsequent purchases until you change it back / to another SIM.

Google Play

You can't top up your wallet directly on the Google Play Store - you can only use your credit to buy items.
With the O2 SIM inserted in your Android phone, make a purchase from the Play Store. When you get to checkout, tap the payment method under the price and add O2 as a payment method.
After a few seconds, it should let you check out, debiting the SIM balance.

Apple App Store / iTunes

You can top up your wallet directly on the Apple App Store / iTunes now... will produce a guide when I can (Android user)
Alternatively, you can also use your credit to buy items.

For iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the iTunes or App Store app, scroll to the bottom of the main page, and tap on their Apple ID to open up the Account Settings menu. Tap on "Payment Information", and select "Mobile Phone" as the payment method.
If the O2 SIM is in your iPhone, choose "Use This Mobile Number". Otherwise choose "Use a Different Mobile Number" and get a text message with a one-time code sent to the O2 SIM.

For Mac or Windows, open iTunes and go into to the "Account" menu at the top. Select "View My Account" and click "Edit" in the Apple ID Summary to choose a different payment type. This will send a text message to the O2 SIM with a one-time code.

There are other methods, involving "Lend-us-a-quid", etc but they are more lengthy, more complex or leave you with less credit so I have removed them from this guide.
There are other stores that accept mobile payments (Facebook, Spotify, etc): o2.co.uk/cha…ile

How to get PSN plus for £15 after top up PSN account?

It's on offer for £29.99 for 12 months of PS Pluson the PlayStation Store. Buy that and as you've only paid half (topped up £10 and got £10 free) its as though you're buying it for £15.

£1 credit "lent" by O2... so this needs paying back to them?
  11. Avatar
I've been using this method since the days we got £20 bonus.

If you top £11 to the sim, this will give you £21 after the bonus, allowing you to topup £20 to your PSN wallet in one transaction, with 90p remaining on the sim for the Play store.

I prefer this method as the company who manages the mobile payments limits the usage to only 3 times a month.

Also, it is best to choose the £25 sim because you end up with £21 credit and the sim will automatically take it for the sim bundle usage.

    *Extra bonus*
You can claim £5 cashback via Quidco, which takes a number of months to process.

Thread's missing out on O2 rewards instructions. If you sign up to rewards now, you can claim 50p credit after 30th June meaning you can use the full £20 for PSN credit. Same applies for every 3 month period (Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec)

Thanks, man! I've used this for a long while, back when they gave £20 extra credit instead of just £10.

Just a quick question, though. I ordered a £10 Big Bundles SIM instead and it doesn't have the FREE10 offer on the back; am I still eligible? I've ordered an International SIM anyway but if this will work I may as well use it as well

I wouldnt top up on the Big Bundles SIM until you get a confirmation you'll receive the extra credit. If you get an email confirming this go ahead, otherwise stay away.

You've topped up £10 and got £10 free, then you have to top up your psn account with £10, so you've 'spent' £20 and got 1p spare psn credit.

Thanks for the post OP, I will do this, but unsure if i like the refund idea on playstore, but the playstation plus would cost £20 in the end altogether

£10 spend on credit for the extra free '£10' from o2

Then another £10 spend to make it up to £30 to get playstation plus at its current offer.
  25. Avatar
Could anyone tell me where the extra £5 comes from in order to make it up to £15 of psn credit?

I've done this a few times, biggest issue I've had is that getting the top up to work over the phone (i.e. The only way to top up increments of £1 and not £10) is a right faff. Ive tried 5 different cards and managed to get 1 to work over numerous SIM cards.

The o2 free sims all come with bundles. eg. topup £10 & you'll get X amount of mins, txts & data. If you go for the £25 sim bundle, you'll not actually have enough credit for them to activate the bundle.

    hope that makes sense.

I wonder how much I've cost O2 by finding that lend us a quid trick lol. Just a heads up for some... There is a limit to how many times you can top up your PS account using this a month, remember what stuff you purchased on Play store the next time you do it because you can't get a refund again on the same thing.
