To celebrate 2 million smartphone owners of its satnav apps, Navigon is discounting its iPhone and Android apps by 50% until 13th February. Add-ons such as live traffic info and 3D panorama views are reduced by 25%.

So MobileNavigator for the iPhone is £16.99 for the UK version and £27.99 for the European version. For the Android, MobileNavigator UK is £25.47 and MobileNavigator Europe is £38.22.

I believe that the difference in price is because on the iPhone version you have to pay extra for full 7-digit postcodes (£1.19 with the 25% discount), traffic (£11.49) and a panorama view (£5.49). I think that these may be included in the Android version.

Reviews appear to be mixed.

Google nav is free

True, but it's pretty basic compared to dedicated satnav apps. Also, these apps come with maps that you load onto your phone, unlike the Google navigation which downloads map data as it goes along. This can make it prohibitively expensive to use if you're travelling outside the UK.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper one for Spain for an Andoid that doesnot need internet connection?

Has anyone used Navigon or other Sat Nav software on the iPhone with a TomTom car kit? I have the TomTom car kit but haven't bought software yet.

Hasnt google updated to include offline use?

CoPiLot 8 is pretty good. dad uses it on his Win Mobile phone. cheaper too. the lane guidance screenshots on Navigon looks pretty good though.
