Thanks for the info

Where you read/hear/see that Whizzkid? We likely to see the same carp that went on with woolworths hiked prices and hardly any reduction.

potentially a deal to be had on Xbox elites then, they'd sold out of arcades and premiums last time I checked.

Good info, does anyone know what stores are affected?

Thanks, hopefully someone will get a good bargain or two, expect a lot of spam tomorrow then.

hopefully this will have more appeal that the woolworths sale.

will this be online aswell?

I went in the Norwich store hoping to find some good deals but
was just full of the usual rubbish - nothing decent had any money
off! Have seen people posting good deals on here but Norwich
must be getting bypassed!

Nope.

60 expressions of interest in all or part of the business? I guess that doesn't include a certain Mr Branson.

Would be good to know which stores are closing - there's nothing on the website yet.

they already hiked prices up when they knocked 10% off. they put rock band 2 game on 360 to £49.99

Agreed,
UPTO 50% doesn't mean alot as we saw at Woolies,
I wouldn't get too excited yet, but you never know.

is there a list of stores remaining open?

Just rang the local, no immediate details, they anticipate it will be 20% off. Games consoles/hardware not included in the deal!

I was sure that Norwich would be one of the ones to close. Was very depressing in there yesterday. Only half full of stuff.

I did manage to get the Frank Skinner dvd collection for £6.29 though, so was pleased with that.

Hull's not mentioned

Not surprising High Wycombe is there - HMV has just opened round the corner.
I think the OFTshould look into the whole entertainment distribution situation in this country...

thanks WhizzKid for the heads up, heated

Have these stores already closed does anyone know or are there bargains to be had?

I'll check the Piccadilly store tomorrow.

You havent been able to purchase anything online at Zavvi since before Christmas. This is one of the reasons they are losing money. It was all over the news. They used the same online entainment supplies as Woolies so went Woolies went bust Zavvi also lost their online supplier. Hence they lost all their online business as well - just before Xmas so they lost all their online customers which resulted in their failing to make money.

They are still not trading online as far as I can see.

I was looking for that! When I went in it was still £18 or something! They had plenty of Porn still though!

Very sad to see more joblosses. Edinburgh Cameron Toll is just down the road from me. I think that was the last Zavvi in Edinburgh?

The stores in the list above are already closed.

I'd go down but i suspect there won't be many good bargains.

My local Zavvi in Taunton has had 10% off everything for the last week. Nothing special and not enough of to make me purchase anything.

Hoping this new upto 50% may be decent!

I was down yesterday and many things are still overpriced even with 10% extra discount. But I will probably visit it again this Friday just to see if there's any good deal! Thanks.

Isn't there one still on Princess Street? There was when I was last there before Xmas.

Cheers for the info on this. As already mentioned, lets hope there is a better sale than the Woolworths version.

Don't even bother thinking this is going to be better than Woolies sale.

The one on Princes Street shut a few months ago, before they went into administration.

I agree High Wycombe has got a bigger and better HMV. Does this mean it has or will be closing tomorrow?

Thanks.
