I remember the wife buying me the "Pointless" book last year for Xmas. What pile of cr*p. It went in the bin a week later when the wife wasn't looking ! X)

No problem. I'm gutted I paid £12.50 for Othello in store the other day!
Buy all our board games in charity shops.
Paid £2.50 for a mint condition 1970's edition of Monopoly, £3.99 for Game of Life and Cluedo, £2.99 for original Downfall & Connect 4.
Seen Pointless in there numerous times, always still shrink-wrapped for £4/5

Only once have I bought something that we discovered was missing pieces when we got it home

Should've handed it into a charity shop by the sounds of it X)
Yep, just picked up battleships (not exactly a board game) from the charity shop
Downton Abbey, Cube and Chase are OOS

A few years ago my daughter bought us the Top Gear game that was also a pile of steaming p*o
I thought this was a pretty good price for 10 puzzles - £7.50

I had the Pointless Arguments one, I thought it was decent.
Meh, there are much better games out there.

My NYE was peppered with Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens

cards against humanity is so much good adult fun
I bought The Really Nasty Banking Game - even though I'm supposed to be saving this month, oops!

Already have The Really Nasty Horse Racing Game - it's great fun (you get the opportunity to stitch up your fellow competitors as they are just about to win a big prize, haha!!). Hope this is as fun ;-)
Great find Othello. Thanks
Had the Pointless board game at xmas - we are a fairly bright family but the questions were far too difficult and we lost interest very quickly. The one redeeming feature was the smartphone app that does the countdown thing and automatically scores for you. I wouldn't recommend.
