Quake ? Yes please.
I wonder if Q3 still has enough servers. Hot anyway!
heat added
Hopefully we get 75% off all Bethesda games sometime during the sale seeing as today is "id Day".
Ooh, Commander Keen!
Great deal! Thanks
Commander Keen!

Bargain. All of them (mines 6 & 7) for 74p.

I'm just waiting for 75% off on the awesomeness that is Rogue Warrior!

In all seriousness, I'm kinda tempted to get Doom 3 BFG.

Will still be plenty I imagine but most players moved over to Quake Live which is free-to-play!
Doom 3 is £1.50 on Gamersgate (£1.99 on steam)

But with Doom 3 + Expansion on Steam for £1.99, Steam still has the edge.

Doom 3 BFG Edition is £3.27 on US GameStop (£4.99 on Steam), If anyone knows a way round the "You may not purchase this item at your location" Issue.

Lots of Q3 servers online, but they're mostly modded ones. That isn't a bad thing, since Quake Live doesn't have regular instagib unlagged servers with knock back on the rail gun enabled.

For most people, Quake Live is going to be more then enough if you manage to get the web plugin to work, hehe. Sometimes it can be a pain to get it running with admin rights first time around.

One thing that is a shame with steam, although it supports Mac and Linux as well as PC, games such as Doom that don't have an offical client can't be downloaded to your Mac or Linux machine, even though, if you had the game files there are 3rd party clients to get the game working.

Kind of a bummer really, not sure why we don't have an option to force the download anyway.
Tried the 'Quake Live' emulation and thought it sucked - for people that don't know, that's not the real version on sale here. It just felt lightweight and artificial (yes I know proper Q3A isn't real but...)

Quake III Arena is great but has many crappy mods running on the online servers that give you stupid mega power weapons but still has some classic ones too (where the real players go!). I still spend far too much time there. The single player offline mode is a good challenge too though.

I loved the Team Arena expansion but alas - can't find any servers for that now

Great price for some of these titles. Heat.
Nice I gave most of these from previous sales but may pick up the hexen pack. I've been playing around with some of those graphics mods for quake looks crazy for such a old fame and still plays like it did. I still think the quake and doom series are the best games ever made. Outright classics. Thanks for the heads up. Heat from me
Nice! I bought the doom, quake and wolf pack
Nice! I bought the doom, quake and wolf pack
Went for the Quake pack and Spear of Destiny (as I already have Wolf 3D and the Keen pack). Hot deals!
I was thinking of getting the Quake pack just to have those games on my steam account (already own boxed versions)

Don't really think I'd ever play them tho

Would think anyone wanting to play quake multiplayer would just go on quakelive these days.
There is no justifiable reason why Quake 4 should be more expensive than Rage.

I think £3.74 is a bit too much to ask for Quake 4 these days.
Does Quake 4 actually work on windows 7 now days? Last time i tried to play it a couple years back it didn't work
Fantastic deal. Been waiting for a deal on the Quake stuff for a long time. Thanks.
If anyone does buy this and has Rage to gift, Id be happy to Swap HL2 or HL2 Ep1.
All three original Commander Keens? I am ON THIS.

Thanks, I had ignored the sale as I thought I already owned everything I wanted from this publisher.

Edit: Also, fun fact, if you view the "Specials" tab when using steam on your phone, Commander keen comes up as being reduced from £221 lol.

£57.72 that is((((
What happened!? The Quake stuff was dirt cheap this afternoon. I get home from work and go online to buy it and it's gone up again. Pretty p***** off with Steam, right now. Unvote my hot and make it cold! I'll find something else to waste my cash on.

Yep I was just about to buy Rage and it's gone up to £9.74 - it was showing these offers were on for the weekend...
The whole Bethesda/ID weekend is still on, but like the Steam Summer Sale games have high and low price points. The Quake and Doom games were Day 1, Fallout seems to be Day 2

You can still get Doom 3 for £1.20 on GMG (with the 20% code) not sure how long it will last though as all the other retailers have put the ID prices up now.
