1 Pound in Poundland, you can buy 60 of them

Prescription Glasses ? don't think so.
used these guys before, dreadful service. Glasses took ages to arrive and then wouldn't accept a return due to a small error made on prescription. Came across arrogant. Went to Glasses Direct instead, have since ordered twice there and now have 4 pairs and very happy.
I had to laugh when I saw Dunlop mentioned as designer glasses.

Nice deal nonetheless. Heat

You mean reading glasses, which are no perscription glasses.

Why they are very big in sports esp Tennis as well as Motorsports.
I bought from these guys before, the prescription I needed didn't have the correct input tables during the ordering process so some of the information required was missing. I emailed my prescription to them to allow them to check before manufacturing. Weeks later I got £60 worth of glasses that are next to useless, I tried to return them and because they are "custom" prescription it's against returns policy. So yea, I won't shop again unless you have 100% faith they can provide the correct prescription.

My biggest worry

My biggest worry is being buried alive, but each to their own.

Another poor online glasses site - try filtering by frame size, doesn't work. Also another one where they don't actually list the frame width which is really important, you can't work it out from the lens and bridge widths.
Guess I’m too blind to wear their glasses
I wear 1.23 on one eye and 1.25 on the other and paid like £250 for mine. I have no doubt that if I bought cheapo glasses with 1.25s on both lenses I wouldn't even notice, but I do photography and video work for a living and didn't want to cheap out on my eyes

Always wondered how do you get these online glasses adjusted to fit if required as I'm sure no other opticians will want to touch them.

Since considered that as often I just go without glasses (if it's outdoor/raining or even places I have to wear a mask now as it steams up glasses)
When are people going to realise they are nearly all made by 1 company.

For something as important as your eyesight, it's not worth cheaping out on.

Go to your local opticians for a proper service.

I fully agree
Hi All,

I had an eye test some time ago so am due another one which I will get soon - I just put off buying the proper required glasses as I have never bought prescription glasses before. I did try once online but was unsure of a certain value/number - what it meant & where to input it - please see attached image - can anyone kindly tell me what the number circled in red means please?

Also what sort of lenses should one get? TBH, I have just been using off the shelf ready made reading glasses but my general vision is not that great - cannot read anything without glasses - it is all a blur & regular vision is not bad at my age (58) but could be better as things are becoming less clear - I find myself wearing my reading glasses all the time to compensate.

What sort of lenses provide the most natural vision & as close to possible as the human eye? I do not know much about these things but understand there are those that are Bi-Focal which have two distinct zones, also Vari-Focals, another called Progessive etc? (what is the difference between the last two)

Any lenses help/advice would be massively appreciated as I am thick!

Many Thanks!

I have different strengths on both eyes, you can buy cheap glasses with the different strengths
