This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

The New Galaxy Watch Active has just been announced and with it come these offers straight from Samsung:

1. Get up to £90 off with a watch trade-in. The highest value one I saw was £90 for the Fitbit Alta but there were various watches on there. (Any functioning analogue watch will get you £25 off).

2. Get a free Samsung power bank with QI wireless charging, that can wirelessly charge the watch. These sorts of 'official' power banks are typically ridiculously expensive especially with the ability to wirelessly charge devices, so it's pretty great that they throw it in.

I know, it seemed weird to me too but that's what it says on their website.
T&cs says trade in ends on the 19th?

You need to got to checkout and then select "Trade in", the Fitbit Ionic or Versa for £80 is the highest trade in value given but I assume you could get that from eBay/CEX etc anyway? Sounds like the usual Samsung rip off day 1 price, the watch really should be no more than £199 so the £30 for the Powerbank is already built into the retail price.

I never understand the attraction of a Tizen running Samsung watch over an Android WearOS watch.

What does "Any Watch" mean for £25 trade in value? Is that literally any watch, smart or not?
Hmmm, fairly limited range of specific watches for trade in. I have a Hauwei Watch 2 Sport which retails for about £180 new and it is not listed for trade in. I think it’s worth about £90 but it’s not listed.

I think they were on to a winner with the rotating bezel, which makes it strange that they've dropped it on this model..

I think it’s because it’s the sport version. The bezel is the killer feature! Makes using the watch a breeze!

The appeal is the battery life, the watch is far smoother and intuitive to use as well (in my opinion) so if you don't want all of the apps and you just want fairly standard Smartwatch functionality then Tizen is just the ticket.
I'd be tempted for this price but that battery might be a deal breaker

The Tizen OS is different but well supported by Samsung and the battery life seems to be way longer than other watch OSes. That would be my guess. I agree the RRPs are too high and they should just choose something more realistic not cut the price so quickly after launch, as it devalues and puts early adopters off. I’m sure the high RRP is something to thank Apple for.

I'm the complete opposite. I've used several watches on both OS's and usually last about a day with Wear OS, find it so frustrating. Keep going bakc to try it after the new releases and give up soon after. Used android for years and just cant get used to wear os over tizen. I'm in no way saying tizen is perfect, far from it, just that it has more functionality (for me) over wear os.

That's not the correct list, if you add the watch active to the basket and then trade in there are other options.
Nice looking watch, been considering an upgrade from my Fitbit Charge 2 for a little while now, just not sure what to go for.
Nice exchange rate there by Samsung, $199.99 in the USA seems to equal £229 here.

Which is strange as their phone seems to have a more favorable rate $999 vs £899.

US prices often exclude taxes, that may be it?

Yeah for the S10+ that makes some sense - $999 is £764 + 20% VAT = £917 (So we are £18 better off here)

For the watch - $200 is £153 + 20% VAT = £184 (So we are £45 worse off here)

So we are getting an okay deal on the phone but a terrible deal on the watch.

True but as you can get a Galaxy Watch for the same price but with the added extra of a bigger screen and rotatable bezel, I would much rather have that.

I have the 46mm, it is great.

This one is supposed to be getting blood pressure monitoring though, which sounds quite cool for a more fitness orientated watch.

I think you need to provide it with a base reading using an actual blood pressure monitor and then it just measures the delta from that point.

It's not something I would trust measuring blood pressure personally.

I'd expect to see some reviews with the details about how it works and its accuracy. I wouldn't rely on it if i had an actual condition though.

What use does measuring blood pressure provide someone who is healthy?

Similar to the ecg on the apple watch i guess. It would show you drastic changes that could indicate a problem. If i already had a problem i would already have a real monitor for more accurate readings.
I think I might have a watch from a happy meal somewhere
Could have been an OK deal if Samsung had bothered to fix the huge issues with the last 2 watches.
I got the Galaxy Watch on release, barometer failed, HRM and step counter both worked when they wanted. Rebuilt several times and finally returned for a refund after reading I was far from an isolated case.
I'd be careful buying this if it's for fitness purposes...

I don't get why anybody needs more than a day's usage out of a smartwatch, as all I do is put on charge every night and it then easily lasts all the next day.

think i might not have worded that properly, what i meant that after a day i stopped using it.

anyway, i like to use wearables as a sleep tracker, sadly wear os doesnt have this baked in, the huawei watch 2 did, but majority of others dont.

Because Tizen runs better than clunky Android Wear OS
will these work with any Android phone?
Thinking of getting a smartwatch this year.

I use mine to track my sleep as well though?
My fitbit only lasting a couple of days pisses me off, to last a day at best would be a real deal breaker.
I get 3-4 days from my Fitbit Charge 2, that's with WhatsApp & Calendar notifications plus the usual step counting and gym workouts. It's fiddly to remove from wrist and connect to charging cradle.

If you want 7 day or more then look at Withings or the budget Amazfit Bip.

My experience is the opposite. Everything works. I even counted my steps in sync with the watch and it was accurate. Battery life is 6 days for me. Well 5 and a half and then I use power saving to get me home for the final 6 hours or so.

Got it with a free duo charger for £190. I cannot complain.

Battery life, auto fitness tracking, looks better than most comparable wear os watches. Rotating bezel is a stroke of genius! Had a Huawei watch 2 sport which I really did not like, despite desperately wanting to.

What do people track sleep for, surely once you've tracked a weeks sleep doesn't that tell you all you need to know about your sleep pattern, not much you can do about it anyway when you're asleep!

This Samsung doesn't come with a rotating bezel! Although I do wonder what advantage that brings over just running your finger around the screen, I assume Samsung must now be thinking along similar lines.

Much easier when its wet, but selection is still an issue as touch screen response can be erratic. Which is why the high end Garmin watches dont have a touch screen.
