So the 30% trade-in offer has ended. Halfords have now launched this one.

A few pros & cons.

It has to be a Halfords bike upto 5 years old (Boardman, Carerra, Voodoo Apollo etc) and not electric.
You won't find out the assessed value until you get it to store but there's a guide price if you follow the link.

The Gift Card can be used on anything, doesn't have to be a bike.

I’m trying to figure out the benefits? You have an old Halfords bike and they give you supposed market value, then the money has to be spent back in Halfords?

On first glance it seems a bit limited, and is open them them giving you quite a low value voucher for the traded in bike.

I all likelihood you will get more selling independently, and then be able to shop around to get better value with a cash purchase.

Whilst some Halfords bikes can be ok, the choice is pretty limited if you are looking for something specialist (edited)

Yes there's a lot of ifs & buts, though there's no commitment to trade it in.

I sold my SLR8.9c last year via ebay. starting off at a higher price it eventually sold for £625.
I could've got upto £700 for it using this offer and because my workplace only does the Halfords C2W scheme it can only be used at limited places.

Won't work for everyone but it's an option.

I got a Crossfire 2 and apprently up to £170. I doubt that be the case so maybe £100?

I feel like it could get a bit more for that if I sold it via facebook market place or the likes?

    I could be very wrong

depending on how far your nearest Halfords is, you'll only get certainty if you take it in. more certainty than FB marketplace
