Good deal. It is difficult to understand why people choose to be a slave of Nespresso having these wonderful bean to cup machines at this price.

My dad got this for Christmas! He loves it! We now have a cupboard full of coffee beans!!
Same price at Amazon if that's easier for some people
It's recently been cheaper elsewhere in different colourways/styles but anything under £200 is always a good deal.

Hopefully people interested in this already know that AO's description about 'programmes' is complete rubbish.
The ESAM2800 model is ten quid cheaper on Amazon and at Argos widely available for collection today (Argos one is already posted on here as a deal), seems to be same machine but with stainless steel trim; same 2 year guarantee:

Cold for me £179.99 at Argos
had one for 3 years...reliable and great coffee
Got the £180 (offer price) silver version from Argos before Christmas. It's been bloody brilliant so far. Only issue is if you've got people round and your trying to make a few milky coffees it's a bit slow to get ready to make the next one but for this price you can accept that!

Also can pick up bags of coffee beans so cheap!
Is there anything comparable that makes lattes too, or is that much more expensive?
Anyone else recommend a bean to cup with a seperate milk section you can take off and store in the fridge? Ta

Ah, didn't realise that it had a section for milk. Must be inside it somewhere. Might have to go for it

After using the steamer, you can either wait for the green lights to stop flashing to allow more coffee to be brewed, or you can open the steam nozzle til it starts pumping out water rather than steam. That depressurises it quicker.
We have had ours for 7 years and it still works flawlessly- has made around 10 double shots every day of its life .
Only reason we just upgraded this week is the waste bin tab snapped . And couldn’t be bothered to replace it we treated ourselves to a new one . Excellent machines

Faster and consistent results?
seriously considering binning the tassimo and getting this. Sick of bitter coffee from the tassimo pods. I think the bitterness is due to the coffee not freshly ground. Its also a heluva lot cheaper than the pods, not to mention the amount of waste it produces (plastic)
Bought the esam2800 last week after years of "should I? Is a bit expensive? Is it worth it?"

Worth every dam penny.
Best purchase I've probably ever made.

Screw star bucks and Costa.
I assure you....You will NOT regret it!

Awesome bit of kit.
Awesome coffee every time.
None of this crappy waste with the other crappy coffee machines that you end up sticking the cartridges in landfill!

Seriously....don't think about it.
Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

I've managed to get one and already have a tassimo with about 80 pods left. Just sick of the bitter taste which makes coffee a nightmare to drink when i know they can be much better. Looking forward to quality coffee now!

I got the 2800 - the trim is actually grey plastic, not stainless steel.

You have to experiment with the settings at first....then you'll find your perfect brew.

It really is awesome.

Erm, got my grind settings on 4. I'm pretty happy with that. But I've only had or for a week!
You can only experiment so much with coffee before you become a dribbling wreck! 😃

Been using Lavazza Qualita Rossa Coffee Beans. Lovely. But, still early days.
Hoping to get some cheaper beans from Lidl and experiment a bit.

Seeing as half the Delonghi machines use the same bits I would be very surprised if it was more than superficially difffent.

Certainly is. Fill it up with a bag of beans and you're good to go. Drip tray and grinds bin needs emptying now and again...

Thanks buddy
Also and Lidl beans aren’t bad - we’ve tried loads of different beans .

We use Costco Starbucks blend - rwanda is also nice .

Tried pact coffee and smaller micro roasters .

And all given very good espresso from this machine .
Do be careful of waste as if the beans are strong or very fresh - you need to dial the grind back a notch - and have it not as fine as the pump will struggle to push it through .
I bought the esam 2800 last week with the eBay 20 percent off code through argos eBay. £143 quid well spent . Defo recommend it! Have heat! As others have said the 2800 which is silver and black not all black for like this one is 10r cheaper on argos, argos eBay and Amazon. Currently also using the lavazzo beans, makes great coffee!

Missed getting this with that ebay offer, but had a £10 voucher for Argos so ordered it for collection tomorrow on BN-PL. I'll have to pick up a bag of Lavazzo beans to try it out. Any offers around?
