UPDATED - 1 year subscription to NordVPN for $45 (£34) using code SPRING

Edited by:"PineappleJ"Found 19th Nov
For those that dont wish to commit to the 2 or 3 year deals!.

Updated with new code thanks to KRUK

Current price for the 1 year subscription on offer through their website is $69 (52% discount) but this code increases the discount to 69% and reduces the price to $45.

Cant take credit for the method as got this through VPNMentor who have created a simple guide to applying the code on their site (not sure I'm allowed to link it here)

Essentially, when you select a payment method there is a link Got Discount Code which you can click and enter the code which updates the price.

Code is SPRING

It seems fast. It did require some manual configuration to make it secure, which it is now, I know, for various reasons.

OP isn't required to persuade you to buy the vpn, he is simply sharing the fact there is a discount currently on. It is up to you to do the research into it if you're interested.......

The OP provided a link to the deal. and had the courtesy to give others credit (not everyone does this!). It’s not up to them to ‘fully’ explain what the deal is. If you are not sure about VPN’a or their uses then a quick Google web search will provide you with this information & much more! Anyway, if you aren’t sure what you are buying maybe you shouldn’t be buying it in the first place! (just my opinion). Cheers OP.

OP may not require to persuade, but for ppl like me who isn't knowledgeable on VPN and just want a brief summary would help justify why this should be a good price compared to free VPNs.

Anyone know if this would work in China too please to bypass the "Great firewall of China"?

Thanks

What is the advantage of this VPN? There are so many about. Some are free, some are once only (£1*) for a lifetime subscription with many points of presence. This seems expensive for just one year

If you use code SPRING this will reduce the price to $45.

Guys... It's used to bypass region blocks on Netflix etc. Also for torrenting.

uk.pcmag.com/nor…vpn

Recently, NordVPN announced that its servers are accessible from within China. This means that anyone within the country could circumvent government control over websites. That's particularly notable, because China's so-called Great Firewall greatly restricts the sites that can be accessed from within the country's borders. Access is only available to Windows users, although other platforms will be added, the company says. We'll see how that holds up against China's recent efforts to restrict VPN use.

Ok, so posters posting a laptop deal just need to say what it is? No spec? Yes some do that, but as a laptop is a sum of many parts it's helpful (if you can be bothered) to say why you think it is a bargain compared to other laptops

There is a 7 day free trial for those wanting to try it. I have it to watch ifollow (footy) and works great

goodness, I didn't expect this.. sorry I posted it just before I was heading out and just backk.
Im not a VPN expert and theres plenty of information out there if you want it - in essence a VPN masks your IP and provides an encrypted link to the internet so that no-one can trace your activity.

There may be plenty free and I can't comment on those, all i can say is that I have tried the 3 day free trial of NORDVPN and used it to stream US netflix from within the UK and its fine. I can't say whether its faster than others etc etc but theres plenty evidence out there.

Possible it could be because of encryption not as strong as nordvpn....If encryption is low the more speed you get...just a thought.

3 connections is fine as i can just stick the VPN on the Asus router i have and all my house traffic will go through that, leaving 2 more devices. Could put a 2nd device on the router at my parents house and a spare for the mobile when out and about.

What ASUs router you have may do the same

They are based in Panama for one Plus they tend to come top or thereabouts of most online review site's 'Best VPN' lists. Used them for approx 12 months and can't fault them TBH...

Used them for a few years now. Good service and one of the few vpns operating outside of all 14 eyes - important for VPN.
Good range of servers around the world and consistently decent performance. Seem to be blocked less that others too.
Many protocols supported including openvpn so can use on many devices. Their own windows and android apps are quite good too.
If I recall correct, you can use 6 concurrent connections.

Thank you for the deal.Right time

I have got 3 year pro vpn for £80 unlimited device and usage windscribe

Anybody got any experience, if you do A Lot of torrening is it better/safer to use a VPN or Seedbox? Thanks

Love Nord. Great service

When posting a deal you are required to say why you think it's a good deal in your own words. So in a way he is. Stop being so triggered

I might be missing something, but isn't the 2 year plan much better deal for only $10 more on the full price

So that's how you manage to get a UK IP address in China!

It's all about that missing 'i' with you.....

PS Living in South Yorkshire tends to help with the ip address, of course...

PPS Still stuck on 3 deals posted at 9 degrees average I see. Less stalking, more deals please...

Got 3 years for £45 after 42% cashback from topcashback this deal is cold in comparison.

I paid for 3years also viaTopcashback but it didn’t track. Now I’m debating whether to submit a missing claim as to do so could provide NordVPN with my ‘actual’ personal details. I used a pseudo name/enail( for my account with NordVPN). This goes against the idea of using a VPN to try keep my ID private! Any thoughts anyone on this please? Thanks.
