Depends on how the prices are at that particular time, prices fluctuate month by month, and if that is the cheapest price at that particular time, then there's no reason it shouldn't be a hot price.HUKD is based on current "hot" prices, not based on whether the price was better 3 months ago, or whether it will be better in 3 months time

I do not agree. Pot Noodle inflated price is £1. Often it is priced at 50p/49p.
If this 50p/49p deal is not available, I would never regard £1 as a hot price or even a good deal, if it were the only price available.
If I were to buy this junk, I would wait until the price returned to 50p/49p.

I do not agree the current lowest price can be regarded as a hot deal. It is merely the current deal.
The term "hot deal" implies a very good deal i.e. a good reduction from the standard price.
£1 Pot Noodle can never qualify as a hot deal, in my view.

I extrapolate this view to phones.
You are free to disagree with my view. I will not agree with your view of a current price always qualifying as hot.
If you do, then post every price of every product sold at RRP (everywhere) claiming it is "hot" as opposed to the standard price.
This would be illogical, and lack any common sense! (edited)

So any Samsung S9 deal over £353 new, or under this price graded, is a dud, because o2 had the phone on "Special offer" for a week in December?

So with your theory, nobody should ever by a phone? (edited)

I do disagree with your view.

But instead of this turning into some kind of all night discussion /argument.

All I will say is, let's just agree to disagree.

    Good night sir!

Ridiculous isnt it, someone posts a good deal and then someone else comes along saying it was cheaper x months ago, who cares? That was then and this is now, seen it happen way too many times, pointless comments which help absolutely no one.

Can we just ban this guy without common sense from this website? He clearly doesn't understand what hukd stands for.
Pot noodles my friend can be bought everywhere, you can bulk buy while on offer or you can shop around or buy supermarket version but don't try to compare with the need to purchase a TV or an ssd or a phone.
2018 was expensive for ssd. 2017 was a good year. People that wanted an ssd in 2018 but didn't buy one in 2017 didn't wait until 2019 waiting.for.prices to drop. You need it and you buy it at the best price available that day or week.
The term time machine here rings a bell? Everytime a smart @r5se like you showed up mentioning a past deal we all urged them to give us a ride with their time machine.
Hope it makes sense mister no common sense. Go on and start a Camel Camel forum. Make. Your price history database as well and talk to yourself

Legit, I looked at your profile and you post the same ridiculous stuff on all deals.

Anything factory unlocked preferably, plus offer is gone now I guess

Yes, it was unlocked and the deal was only on for one day. It was posted on this site.
The screen somehow cracked within 2 week and the phone was not dropped! These are fragile phones.
Good old Nationwide repair for £25 + P&P (so £27.50).

I've bought several phones from Argos eBay and they have all been in immaculate condition. It's also nice to have a warranty.

It's always worth keeping an eye on their eBay page as it changes quite often.

    Good find Switchy!

Smartphone sales are meant to be down, people hanging onto them longer due to lack of major improvements and innovations.

Yet people on here seem to get a new phone every month!

Nationwide, is that a repair under their insurance or a reputable repairer?

You post it to their repairer. They return in 2 days. Super quick and efficient. I cannot fault them (except they make you pay for the postage to them).

You may consider it an acceptable deal, but never "hot", or a great deal as the price was £353 less than 3 months ago. Would you call £499 hot? Let me guess, by Easter it will be £350-£400 new.

£499? Depends on how the prices are at that particular time, prices fluctuate month by month, and if that is the cheapest price at that particular time, then there's no reason it shouldn't be a hot price.

HUKD is based on current "hot" prices, not based on whether the price was better 3 months ago, or whether it will be better in 3 months time

I’d really like to buy one of those Huawei P Smart at this price. 16 GB ROM is not enough any more. Bought Huawei 7A recently from Argos and it had only 4 GB space left after the OEM software and upgrades.
