Seems like a good deal to me. We moved onto the family bundle when we renewed last year and the added boxsets and on demand stuff is great

I'm getting ripped off with this offer, it's increasing by £15.60! oO

if you are on a offer at reduced price it will cancel that deal and go up to full price plus a new 12 months contract

Also how does this work if you're on an existing offer?

I logged into sky and my offer was half price @ £2.50, original cost being £5? but no m&s voucher. Then I clicked through the link and still had the £2.50 offer plus the m&s voucher. V happy, thanks op

Whey, Moyes is back up the ladder!

is it a 12 month min commitment?

I only have the variety pack (as pictured) and Broadband £45.40 a month (as pictured), I do however have it on a monthly rolling contract, is that classed as an offer?

Probably doing this as they are putting the Family bundle up by £3 in June

If you are not married to your partner, which im sure quite a few people arent, do what I do every year. Cancel Sky, get £150 cashback through quidco, usually get M & S vouchers, get all new HD equipment, usually a promo rate for six months. Then at the end of the next year. Cancel, swap over to her name. Its absolutely no hassle as its all set up already, the engineers actually like it as their one hour slot takes them 15 minutes. ive not worked out the monthly cost, but anyone who stays with sky beyond a year is missing out on an easy way to get money back. Its not illegal so dont see the problem. I havent actually tried it if you had the same name, maybe you could say you kicked him out for adultery?

works out as £30 saving over the 12 months + £50 M&S for my shopping. heat added

Ah just checked - "New 12 month minimum term applies"

Sounded like a great deal but......when you read the small print.....
Too good to be true. It's only 3.50/month extra if you are on variety bundle. If you're on the original bundle it's a lot more so no good for me

As above, family bundle is going up £3 a month from June 1st.

yes as it should be £64.40 with all you have on sky family plus they will have you on that price for 12 months try calling them you will get a better deal than.

rubbish offer if you've already got the family bundle

loop

As above, family bundle is going up £3 a month from June 1st.

so even if we sign up for this offer will we still have to pay the extra £3 per month when the price increases in june??

terms and conditions state
Sky TV prices will change on 1 June. In accordance with our standard terms, your Sky TV package may rise by up to 10% in a minimum contract term. Delivery of Sky services subject to successful set-up.

Thus while you may be saving £36 per year they will increase your payments by £3 per month from june thus very little saving in real terms....yes i know the voucher is a bonus..

So if I sign up today, I may end up paying more from June? Not sure that's worth it for me, as I only have the regular Sky+ box at the moment and it looks like I won't get the £50 voucher if I upgrade.

Be careful if you already have offers, last week I did the half price hd offer. Checked back a couple of days later and my bills had doubled! Apparently I couldn't have the offers I had running and the new one and they refused to put it back!

yup clever ploy by sky, what they don't add is that prices are going up in june lol for family pack, or the fact you may lose your current offers, not worth it in my opinion even for 50 voucher.

Just had a little check on this in the legals. The price on the website link is the new price after the price rise.

Not £3.50 for every customer:

"£3.50 extra a month for 6 months for Variety Bundle customers (£12 for Original Bundle customers), thereafter £6 extra a month for Variety Bundle Customers (£14.50 for Original Bundle customers). Emphasis on the new 12 month contract you're signing up to, too.

When I click on the upgrade button, it says mine would increase from £27.15 to £46.90 - I think not

The text on the website is slightly misleading. It's only a new 12 month contract if you haven't had HD before.

If you're upgrading from an old box or if you're on a HD enabled box, but have always been on one of the basic non-HD packages (such as the Original Bundle) and are adding subscription HD for the first time then it's a 12 month contract.

For everyone else however, if you've had Sky's HD Pack at any time in the past (which would've been a 12 month contract at the time) then it's just the regular 31 days notice to downgrade.

You don't enter a new contract every time you add HD!

Have you got a link for this? Everyone else seems to be suggesting the prices will rise by £3 in June?

They also give a free TV away now to new customers, what would happen if I cancelled and my wife then signed up for Sky ?
Or is it the House and not the person they look at

Could I downgrade my package then do this offer?

This sounds awesome. Would it work for father/son?

Does anyone know if the 'Monthly cost without offers' figure quoted when you try this takes in to account the June price increase on not? For me its the crucial factor in whether this is or isn't a good deal.

Rubbish offer sky TV is a joke

Sign up for Sky Go which is for free and get £5 Quidco.....

Sky are weird. They rarely offer blanket deals to keep their customer base on fragmented plans, so it's harder for them to compare and talk about what they pay.

I still like seeing these deals posted though, because I can use them to negotiate at the end of every 12 month contract individually for your package. You should too.

Always play hardball with sky at the end of your 12 months. Always turn down their first offer unless it's amazing. They fold faster than superman on laundry day, as long as you have the will to hold out at least a while after you tell them to cancel your package and confirm it.

First they wanted £74, I said no chance. Then they said £55 in the same call, I said I would think about it, got back to them the next day and said no. Cancelled it, within a week (while I still had it running) they rang back and said everything the same, £44. OK. They dropped £30 for the exact same package in less than 7 days....

They'll be on the phone ringing you up within a week before you're even cut off throwing cut price deals at you they always have been for me- make sure they have your number!

haha just what I was thinking whats Moysey doing working for Sky and not on the pundit panel haha

Get an android TV box every channel you want for free. Sky is for stupid people that want to waste money wake up people

call up and tell them you want to leave sky, they will then give you a better deal to stay. i renewed my sky last week.

was on Variety Pack paying £28pm and now been upgraded to sky plus HD on family pack and all equipment and installation free and paying £24pm for 10months and £33pm for 2 months on a 12month contract.
